Every year, over 15 contestants (people belonging both to the glamour world and commoners), get a chance to step inside the Bigg Boss house. We have seen two people in a very serious relationship while inside the house and breaking up once they are out. We have also seen successful marriages of two people, whose romance had brewed inside the house and are now leading their own happily ever after. But it is the Bigg Boss friendships that we have seen sustaining for long. And the batch of 2018 paved way for some great friendships inside the Bigg Boss house which is getting stronger with every passing day. Here’s talking about the beautiful bond of Somi Khan, her sister, Saba Khan, Deepak Thakur (who had happened to develop a huge crush for Somi while inside the house), Romil Chaudhary, Surbhi Tiwari, Rohit Suchanti and his crush, Srishty Rode.
Somi Khan turned 25 yesterday and her wide array of Bigg Boss buddies made sure that they put their best foot forward to make her birthday night as eventful as possible. While her Bigg Boss 12 co-contestants, Karanvir Bohra, Romil Chaudhary, Surbhi Rana, Srishty Rode, Rohit Suchanti did make sure to post heartfelt wishes for the lady, it was many of their gestures to dance away all night, smash cake on each other and post groupfies that must have made Somi’s day! Somi Khan came as a commoner inside the Bigg Boss 12 house with her sister, Saba Khan and went out as a celeb. While inside the house, apart from her honesty, simplicity and ‘standing up for what she believed was right’, it was her co-contestant, Deepak Thakur’s huge crush on her that had grabbed many eyeballs. To cite a few examples, during one of the last ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episodes, Salman Khan (who was the host of the show) played a game with the contestants wherein he had shared some statements said by the contestants and one had to guess who might have said it. One amongst many other statements was, “Deepak bahut gaana gaata rehta hai. Bahut ghoorta hai mujhe. Main bahut uncomfortable feel karti hu.” And it later came about that Somi had said it. In yet another episode, the entire house was seen teasing Deepak Thakur and Somi Khan. While some had started to sing songs indirectly hinting to their brimming ‘love angle’, others were repeating the aforementioned statement said by Somi. This had then annoyed her and Somi had warned everyone to behave themselves. Afterwards, Surbhi Rana who was one of the closest to Deepak while inside the house and was also seen boosting him to speak up about his feelings to Somi. The result? Find out!
Deepak Thakur had ended up being heartbroken as Somi Khan had friend-zoned him immediately after he expressed his feelings for her. She had cleared the air for Deepak and had shared that they are only good friends and nothing more than that. Deepak had then said, “Tum humko achi lagti ho..isliye hum tumko dekhte the. Tumko uncomfortable feel hua uske liye sorry. Meri jo idol girl hai uske sare characteristics tumse match krta hai.” Somi had replied, “Tum mere ache friend ho that’s it. Tum mujhe ache lagte ho as a dost only. Aisa kuch bhi nai hai mere man main. Deepak. Main nahi chahti ki tum hurt ho aage jake. Isliye apni feelings pe thora control rakho.”
Soon after Somi Khan, she had spoken about her feelings for Deepak Thakur, in an interview with Pinkvilla. She had stated, "There is nothing but friendship between us. Yes, Deepak had feelings for me but when I learned it, I clarified to him that we can only be friends and he respected that.
