On September 15, 2020, Twinkle's little boy, Aarav turned into a 'man' as he celebrated his 18th birthday. The access gave a glimpse of his birthday celebration on her Instagram handle. She shared a picture, wherein we can see the entire family posing with the birthday boy. Alongside it, Twinkle wrote, "Happy 18th birthday Aarav! Here is something I had written for you once and to keep loosening the strings and finally cutting them off this year has not been easy. All these years you have been as much my teacher as I have been yours. I learned optimism, kindness and wonder from you as I taught you maths, a few manners and how to switch the lights off when you leave the room. But looking at you growing up and listening to you repeatedly tell me how much you are looking forward to your independence, I have started realizing that when you finally leave my home, my world and step into your own, my lights will go off automatically and my world will be filled with a bleak darkness. Twinkle and Akshay are trying hard to instil the right values in their kids and become their 'friends on call' whenever the need arises. On January 22, 2020, Twinkle had revealed in her IG post that her son, Aarav had saved her number as 'Police'. And Twinkle being Twinkle, she had shared an appropriate picture to go with the name. And he keeps showing me this again and again and he keeps making these jokes! And yeah, so, I actually think I should, I don't know, blind myself or blind him. I'm not sure which!"
