Vivek’s fame is also compared to Divyanka’s fame and is reported that her celebrity status is the reason behind their differences. Setting the records straight, Vivek opened about this and how his wife Divyanka inspires him, to the Times Of India.
Clarifying the conjectures about their marriage, Vivek shared, “Divyanka inspires me as an actor, as she has made it on her own. She hails from a small town and joined the industry over a decade before me. There is no competition or insecurity. These rumours are a work of fiction. We are so happy together that detractors want to pull us down. I find it stupid to even comment on my marriage or being compared to her. I am confident as an actor and am growing every day. Divyanka is supportive and both of us want to have our own journey as artistes. We don’t discuss work at home unless we feel the need to. What works for us is the fact that there is no communication gap. The 33-year-old actor further added, “Divyanka cribs and in fact, I love that about her. I enjoy when she nags and is grumpy. Now, I have finally realised that she does that when she is hungry. So, whenever she is in a bad mood, I get food for her. What could irk her about me is that I am a lazy person. Speaking about being a fitness freak, Vivek stated, “I have always been fitness conscious. However, lately, I felt the need to develop abs. I have realised that unlike Europeans, we Indians don’t prioritise our core muscles. So, I focused more on my core strength. I wasn’t too comfortable flaunting my body earlier, which I am now. Earlier too, I had the physique, but I was shy. That was a silly inhibition. Now, I am more confident. Adding further, Vivek was quoted as saying, “She was the one who encouraged me to go bare body on the show. She was of the opinion that I have a fab body and people need to see it. on the contrary, I was of the opinion that as an actor, I don’t need to do that.”
Vivek Dahiya and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya celebrated their two-years-of-togetherness on July 8, 2018, and took some time off to spend with each other in the Maldives. Divyanka took to her Instagram to share a beautiful picture and a heartwarming message for hubby on their anniversary. She wrote, “My idea of a most romantic date was always 'a candlelit dinner by the sea waves'. After experiencing it for the first time today I realised, what makes a grand idea actually work is your company and the moments shared together, rest all is just photo friendly. What you can't see in a picture. The feelings exchanged, hands held, moments of silence between nonstop talk, impromptu grooving on make-shift music. That makes a 'real date'. Speaking about marriage, Divyanka earlier shared in an interview, “Any marriage doesn’t run on its own. It needs constant polishing for smooth functioning. So, I keep my partner and my family aware that they are my priority. My mind is constantly scheduling and re-scheduling things according to my shoot and my spouse. I plan in advance for holidays so that we all get to spend quality time together. We keep the communication channels open so that there’s little space for confusions.”
Vivek also shared if marriage changed his life, “I am the same guy. I am living more free-spiritedly. She is such a supportive partner. She lets me be me. At the same time, I have become more responsible towards life and my family. Divyanka is a motivator and I feel blessed to have someone like her as my partner”.
