The voice behind many songs back in the '70s and '80s, Kishore Kumar needs no introduction. From soulful melodious to fun songs, the man with a magical voice, delighted us with many beautiful tracks.
Even though he had dedicated his life to music, he was quite lonely in his personal life. He got involved and got married to 4 different women of his times but was unhappy at the end of his life.
Kishore Kumar had got married to 4 different women and every one was from well-known background from the industry. His first wife was Satyajit Ray's niece, Ruma Guha Thakurta.
Soon after their marriage, they started hitting rough patches. Kishore wanted Ruma to stay at home and take care of their kids, and she wasn't ready for that. Later, in 1958, they parted ways.
After his first unhappy marriage, Kishore Kumar found love in the arms of Bollywood diva, Madhubala. He even converted himself into Muslim to marry the actress and he was named as Karim Abdul.
Madhubala had a hole in her heart. After some years of their marital bliss, she got bed-ridden. They had a harmonious marriage, but last few years were spent in depression. In 1969, she passed away.
Many years after Madhubala's passing away, Kishore had fallen for the actress, Yogeeta Bali, who was Shammi Kapoor's first wife, Geeta Bali's niece. They got married in 1976.
However, as per reports, Yogeeta fell in love with Mithun Chakraborty while working in the film, 'Khwaab'. So after 2 years of their marriage, Kishore and Yogeeta got divorced.
Kishore Kumar's fourth wife, Leena Chandavarkar was one of the most sought-after veteran actresses. She was previously married to Sidharth Bandodkar. However, she was widowed at the mere age of 25.
Kishore and Leena's love life blossomed with time. The couple got married in 1980. Even though he had so many people around him, he always felt lonely. In 1987, Kishore Kumar passed away.
