A viral Instagram video showed a 5-year-old boy holding his baby brother and stopping a Rapido to reach their hospitalised mother which is winning hearts and raising a lot of concerns as well.
A few months ago, a short Instagram video went viral that spoke volumes about a child’s strength. A little boy probably of just 5 or 6 years old, was seen holding his infant brother while waiting for a Rapido ride which was booked by their father to take them to the hospital where their mother was admitted. The viral clip highlighted not only his bravery but also raised questions about child welfare and family responsibilities.
This viral video was filmed by the Rapido bike driver and was shared on Instagram by Samachar Forum. The video showed a young boy of around 5 or 6 years old, who was gently holding his baby brother in his arms. A Rapido driver was on his way to pick up a customer when the little boy stopped him. The boy explained that his mother was in the hospital and their father had booked the ride from the hospital so the two kids could come there. The driver was surprised to see this young child alone. He asked the boy how he would manage with such a small baby. The boy calmly replied that they just needed to go to the hospital. The Rapido driver then helped and safely dropped both the children at the hospital.
The video in no time gained a lot of attention from viewers. The video was very heart touching for a lot of people. Few users appreciated the child and his understanding of handling responsibilities at such a young age, some users appreciated the Rapido driver for being so kind and gentle with the kids. Few users even called the video scripted. Some users also gave well wishes in the comments for the child’s mother. One user wrote, “ When maturity hits you early in childhood”, another user commented, “I hope his mother recovered and their family is doing alright”. Another user wrote, “The Rapido driver is a good man”.
This short yet powerful video brought attention to a lot of responsibilities that are eventually thrown upon young children of the house. This video was the perfect example to show the power of social media. Without social media platforms this incident would have stayed within the family itself, but now people know about it, they are sharing their opinions, this video is raising awareness and some might have even tried to help. The viewers after watching this video, raised important questions like, Why were the children left unsupervised? Could there have been better support systems for them by the hospital? Is this why joint family is better? Why couldn’t the hospital staff come for the children? What emotional impact do such responsibilities have on children?
Even though the video touched several hearts, it had a few unanswered questions which are still unknown to people. The viewers don’t know anything about the hospital. What condition was their mother facing? Did the children reach their mother safely? What happened after the video?
