Sibylle Szaggars has been a visual artist for 40 years, and got tips for work in Paris

It was in the early 1980s that Sibylle began her career, relocating to London from Germany. She had rented a working warehouse situated in the Lower East Side of London and then transformed it into her first painting studio. She did share her space with the other artists who contributed to her work. She later started her group exhibitions in Germany as well as England, as in 1989 when Sibylle for the first time organised her group exhibition back at the Operettenhaus located in Hamburg. She has around 40 years of experience as a visual artist. Before starting her career as an artist, Sibylle spent 18 months in Paris, where she would paint and sketch on sidewalks and receive tips. Earlier, in an interview with Big Life Magazine, she shared:

"I learned that all these people had one thing in common. They respected nature and the environments they lived in, and they celebrated Earth within their ceremonial acts. I was more than aware that Western or 'modernized' cultures had moved away from paying attention to all of this."
