The Bollywood actress and the ace cricketer always shell off the perfect couple goals. They inspire their sea of followers with their strong bond, filled with love and respect for one another. However, did you know that there was a time when Virat Kohli cried like a baby in front of his wife, Anushka Sharma?
Virat Kohli had an emotional moment with Anushka Sharma in 2022. He had got teary-eyed over the video call after his century win against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022. During an interview with sports presenter, Jatin Sapru Kohli recalled his emotional reaction after he had scored a century. It was his first-century mark in a T20 cricket match. Virat had expressed that he did not expect to reach a century while playing for the Asia Cup. As he completed 94 runs, the possibility of making a century hit his mind. When he had achieved the milestone, he quipped:
"But the moment I got there, I laughed so hard. Iske liye ro raha tha do saal se."
Virat Kohli's joy knew no bounds when he scored a century. The fleeting moment had passed, and life moved on. He had acknowledged that these milestones could not be held up and could not be paused. However, he was utterly vulnerable in front of his wife, Anushka Sharma. He admitted:
"When I spoke to Anushka, I was in tears."
In the same interview with Jatin Sapru, Virat Kohli revealed that he wanted to make his daughter Vamika realise the importance of intent. He explained that if one worked hard with pure intentions, everything else in life would fall into place. For Virat, intent was the foundation of success in any professional sphere.
Virat Kohli also spoke of the importance of dedication and consistent effort. From training, recovery, rest, and interpersonal relationships, everyday efforts are essential to him.
A picture of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma has been circulating on social media, where they were seen at a kirtan. American singer Krishna Das led it. Kohli and Anushka attended the kirtan event after India lost its first Test in Bengaluru to New Zealand. The viral pictures of the pair showed them enjoying themselves to the fullest and soaking in the vibe of divinity. One picture also showed Anushka Sharma happily clapping with the joyful crowd.
It is not the first time that the couple has attended a kirtan by Krishna Das. Even in July 2023, the couple took part in one when they were in London. The pair has also attended many satsangs and gone to different temples.
