Aamir Khan's film, Sitaare Zameen Par is all set to hit the theatres on June 20, 2025. On Day 1, the movie reportedly witnessed a gross of advance booking of Rs. 6.9 crore, while the opening day forecast has been Rs. 5-6 crore with weekend potential of Rs. 12 crore.
While Aamir Khan's comeback film, three years after Laal Singh Chadha, has grabbed the attention and brought early reviews, which consist of good and bad ones, one thing is assured: people have been excited for it. Well, the numbers are proving it. Amid this, Tittwer had reviewed the film, so without further ado, let's look at what people have to say about Sitaare Zameen Par.
Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, which is the sequel to Taare Zameen Par, had already tapped into the emotional core of the audience when the trailer was released. The movie features Aamir Khan in the lead role, who was first hesitant to be a football coach for a group of kids with Down syndrome. The movie is based on the Spanish film, Campeones. It showcases how a teacher who came into the group of these special children, over time, got handy with their terms and way of love, and finally reciprocated the same. The movie actually left some of the viewers in tears. Even Sachin Tendulkar and Sudha Murthy have praised the movie.
During an interview, Aamir Khan said Sachin and his wife, Anjali, requested him for an early screening of the film since they would be travelling on that day. Sachin was in praise for the movie, and he heaped praise on the makers for spreading the message through such a film that made him both cry and laugh. Sachin shared how the movie captures the essence of the importance of sports, teaches valuable life lessons and finally brings people together. So, one can have an idea that the movie has rightfully struck the right chords in people's minds, just like Taare Zameen Par did. But, there's a slight difference between Taare Zameen Par and Sitaare Zameen Par.
The 2007 film, Taare Zameen Par, has a different fanbase, which dealt with the core theme of a child dealing with a learning disability like dyslexia. On the other hand, Sitaare Zameen Par, as per Aamir Khan, is 'ten steps ahead', and focuses on the differently-abled children, by keeping the key themes of love, friendship and life intact. Where Taare Zameen Par showed the problem of a specially-abled child, Sitaare Zameen Par reflects on the group of specially-abled children in general.

Taare Zameen Par dealt with a heavy emotional core, where Sitaare Zameen Par also has the touch of humour, which would leave people laughing, for that matter. Differentiating Taare Zameen Par from Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir said:
"He is not sensitive at all. He is very rude and politically incorrect, and he insults everybody. He fights with his wife Mother. He is a basketball coach, and he beats up his senior coach. He is a person with a lot of internal problems, and the story is how he changes with the film. How these people in the spectrum teach him what it is to be a good human being."
Netizens have been sharing some good reviews on the movie, Sitaare Zameen Par. While some called it the remake of Campeones, others praised the acting skills of Genelia and Aamir. One user commented, "Just watched #SitaareZameenPar — yes, it’s a remake of Champions, but wow, the heart it brings is real. Aamir delivers with sincerity, and the debut actors steal the show. Emotional, uplifting, and worth your time." Another user penned, "Aamir Khan is back with a bang, but Genelia is EXCEPTIONALLY well in Sitaare Zameen Par. A very well-made film #SitaareZameenPar."
