Legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson and Abhishek Bachchan's nephew, Agastya Nanda, is returning to the big screens with his second movie, Ikkis. The film is touted to be a war drama and is being directed by National Award-winning filmmaker, Sriram Raghavan. The film is set to have a theatrical release on October 2, 2025, on Gandhi Jayanti. Now, Agastya's uncle, Abhishek, gave a perfect shoutout to his nephew ahead of the movie release.

Agastya will be seen next in Ikkis and will be sharing screenspace with Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. Agastya's fans and different celebrities from Bollywood have already given him a huge shoutout. However, it was Agastya's uncle, Abhishek, who took to his social media feed to express his excitement for his nephew's movie, Ikkis. Abhishek wished him and the full team the best, and in the caption while sharing the teaser of the movie wrote:

"All the best @agastya.nanda, Can’t wait".

Agastya's rumoured girlfriend, Suhana Khan, had also taken Instagram stories section to reshare the teaser of Ikkis. She posted an array of heart emojis to the powerful as well as the emotional teaser.

What is the teaser of Ikkis all about?

The teaser of Ikkis begins with a letter that was written during the time of the Battle of Basantar, 1971, where Second Liut, Arun Khetarpal passed away on the field on December 16. The letter was written to the martyred officer's dad and offered condolences for the loss. The words ingrained in the letter were addressed to retired Brigadier ML Khetarpal. It read:

"Deeply regret to inform your son IC 25067 Second Liut Arun Khetarpal reported killed in action on 16 December. Please accept sincere condolences."

The teaser then showcases war scenes and shows Second Liut, Arun Khetarpal, fighting the enemies in the war zone. Agastya, who made his Bollywood debut next to Suhana Khan in The Archies, is all set to tell the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. He was the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, which is the highest wartime gallantry award of India. Dharmendra and Jaideep, in pivotal roles, will add more gravity to the movie, which has been backed by Maddock movies and has been produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Second Lieutenant, Arun Khetarpal was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his bravery shown during the India-Pakistan 1971 war. The teaser is heartbreaking as it shows a letter being written to his dad about the Second Lieutenant being martyred in the 1971 war. The teaser showcases the officer as a fearless soldier in the war zone and sets the tone of the movie that has historical importance and an emotional depth. The makers of the film captioned the teaser of Ikkis as:

Director, Sriram Raghavan opens up on Ikkis

Earlier, during a press statement, director, Sriram opened up about the real-life story of Second Liut, Arun Khetarpal and in an interview with PTI, shared that the movie would be shown in a realistic way and would not dramatise the life of the officer in a superhero manner. The movie has skipped Arun's early years and focused on when he was a young soldier, and at the age of 21, he gave his life for the country.
