Adah Sharma came into the spotlight with the film, The Kerala Story. After the film's success, the actress recently moved into the home of the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. For the unversed, the 4BHK apartment is located on the sixth floor of the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West, Mumbai. Moreover, the sea-facing duplex comes with a terrace, and reportedly costs crores. However, now, Adah clarified that she doesn't own the place.
On August 12, 2024, Adah Sharma graced the event hosted by Vikram Bhatt to announce his upcoming films. During the same, the actress was asked whether she had purchased SSR's former flat or was staying as a tenant, Adah clarified that she took the flat on rent. She added that she lives with her mother and grandmother, and the latter also contributes to paying the rent. In her words:
“I took that flat on rent. The Rs. 378 crores earned by The Kerala Story (2023) are not mine! Not just me, even my grandmother contributes to it. She argued that since she also resides there, she’ll also pay the rent. My mother doesn’t work, so she doesn’t contribute, but she cooks great food for us.”

Then, Vikram Bhatt humorously interrupted, mentioning that Adah's house has no furniture as she doesn’t believe in it. To this, Adah laughed, and revealed that even her earlier house didn’t have any furniture. The filmmaker was intrigued by Adah's response and asked her about what she meant. Adah explained:
“It means that I like space. I like dancing, and when I dance, I don’t want anything to get in the way. In Mumbai, we pay for space, and if I’m staying in such a beautiful house, I’d like to move around freely! That’s why there’s no furniture in my house.”
For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput left for heavenly abode after he tragically passed away by committing suicide on June 14, 2020. Since then, his Mount Blanc apartment was left vacant until Adah Sharma was spotted outside the late actor's house in 2023. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Adah addressed questions about her potential purchase of the property. In her words:
"For now, I would just like to say that I live in everyone's hearts. There is a right time to speak. When I had gone to see the place, I got overwhelmed with the media attention. I am a private person. I love being in the public eye for my movies but I have always been private. I guard my privacy."
