The social media star's parents, Monty Lopez and Sheri Easterling, had a turbulent marriage which grabbed headlines for years. If that wasn't enough, their subsequent dating choices have brought Addison into the spotlight. Recently, her father, Monty Lopez, has tied the knot again, but Addison's absence reflected their ongoing rift.

Monty Lopez marries Kaitlyn Robins after a two-weeks romance in Las Vegas

Once again, Addison Rae's family is back in the headlines after her dad, Monty Rae, tied the knot in Las Vegas following a two-week whirlwind romance with Kaitlyn Nicole Robins. She is a medical professional from Louisiana. According to TMZ, the couple first met at a bar in Louisiana, where Monty instantly became interested in her. Recalling the moment and his thoughts, Monty said;

"I just followed my heart, and I've never been happier. I love this woman. I didn't tell anyone. I've always believed in love at first sight."

The marriage ceremony took place at the Little Chapel in Las Vegas. However, more than the brief dating period, Addison's absence at the momentous occasion raised eyebrows. According to the outlet, their romance escalated quickly. He reportedly proposed just hours after calling Kaitlyn his "future wife", and 12 hours later, they tied the knot. Although Monty seems excited about the new chapter in his life, his daughter's absence was a result of their strained bond. Meanwhile, the influencer is presently on a tour with singer Charli XCX.

What makes Monty Lopez have a strained bond with his daughter, Addison Rae? 

It all started back in 2004 when her parents, Monty Lopez and Sheri Easterling, tied the knot 2004. They welcomed Addison in the next year, followed by sons, Enzo and Lucas. They once got divorced when Addison was a child, but remarried in 2017 after their daughter gained fame on TikTok. Yet things took a turn in 2022 when Monty was accused of having a five-month affair with a 25-year-old influencer, Renée Ash. The latter claimed that he misled her about his marriage. Additionally, his flirting videos with other women prompted Sheri to change her Instagram bio to 'single mom'. Subsequently, Addison unfollowed her father, signalling a growing rift in the family.

Sheri Easterling's controversial dating life

Apart from Monty Lopez, Addison's mother, Sheri Easterling, has also been involved in controversies. Back in August 2022, rapper Yung Gravy began publicly flirting with her on TikTok. Soon things became more evident when they made headlines after sharing a kiss on the MTV VMAs red carpet. Many fans believed it was her stint to taunt Monty, but it attracted major attention. Monty made fun of her public mockery and challenged the rapper to a boxing match. 

Addison, who was seemingly embarrassed by the ongoing spectacle, unfollowed both her parents and expressed that she was "struggling to post and get out." In late 2022, Monty confirmed that his divorce from Sheri had been finalised. While he's now remarried, Sheri has also moved on and tied the knot with Jess Curtis in May 2024 in an intimate ceremony. Addison attended it, and fans saw it as a sign of reconciliation between them. But Monthy's sudden wedding has reignited the cold ashes, making the public interested in the Tiktok star's complex family dynamics again.
