'Jamie Miller's role in the Netflix series needed authenticity, as it portrayed a 13-year-old boy who was accused of the murder of a teenage girl and was arrested for the same. The audition was held in the UK, and a lot of people auditioned for the role, Owen being one of them, who, back then, was taking weekly acting training.
Well, as he auditioned, he grabbed the attention instantly, without trying to focus more on his experience, but rather he came up with what was needed the most, the authenticity, as shared by casting director Shaheen Baig. Talking about his win at the Emmys, Owen said that he was nothing three years back, and as he stepped out of his comfort zone, he knows now that anything could be achieved, if there's the right amount of willpower and work in action.
