Alia Bhatt Opens Up On Ranbir Kapoor As An Overprotective Dad To Raha, 'Will Be Kicking Any Boy..'

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, as a power couple in Bollywood, are at the top of their game, with both of them having established their names as one of the most coveted superstars of the industry. In their personal life, the couple has also aced parenthood as doting parents to their little munchkin, Raha Kapoor. Recently, Alia opened up about how Ranbir will be an overprotective father when their daughter grows up.

Alia Bhatt appeared alongside her first co-star, Varun Dhawan, in the chat show, Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle. In the show, she discussed her relationship with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor and also recalled the first time he met her father, Mahesh Bhatt. Alia stated that when she introduced her then-boyfriend, Ranbir, to her father, the actor bowed to him with folded hands. Mahesh Bhatt also lovingly blessed him. Alia also talked about the time when she opened up with her father about being in love with Ranbir and shared:

“My father and I talked about me being in love once. That was the one and only time we spoke. I told him I’m in love and he said, ‘I see it in your eyes, my child'.”

However, Alia then further mentioned that she cannot imagine the same scenario happening with Ranbir and their daughter, Raha. The actress is of the opinion that, unlike her father, Ranbir would not be as cordial towards his daughter's partner in the future. Instead, Ranbir would be 'kicking any boy' who comes home, stated Alia. The actress was quoted as saying:

“I can’t imagine that happening today with Ranbir and Raha, he will be kicking any boy that comes to the house.”

Alia Bhatt talked about her marriage with Ranbir Kapoor and how it has changed after becoming parents to Raha 

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who tied the knot in 2022, had publicly confirmed their relationship in 2018. However, despite this confirmation, they hadn't provided much information about their relationship during the dating phase. Now, as a married couple, they have been more open about their dynamics. In the same show, Alia Bhatt expressed that she and Ranbir have a 'natural friendship' like that of best friends. The actress stated:

“Ranbir and I have a natural friendship. It was never a dewy, rose-tinted glasses sort of relationship. There was always a relationship like best friends. I married him because he is wonderful to me and also as a human being. But 100% the person I love trolling the most is him and the person he loves trolling the most is me. That is a very natural dynamic between two people.”

Alia also mentioned that embarking on the chapter of parenthood has evolved her and Ranbir's relationship. Welcoming their baby girl, Raha transformed their family dynamics as well, the actress stated. Alia was quoted as saying:

“It has changed after we have had a daughter. It’s totally different. We are a unit now. It’s way more a unit than before.”
