Ameesha Patel Shuts Down Rumours Surrounding Her Linkups With Ranbir Kapoor And Ness Wadia

Ameesha caught the spotlight not only through her best works but also through her romantic relationships. Ameesha had a long-term affair with a married filmmaker, Vikram Bhatt. There were also speculations that the actress had reportedly dated Ranbir Kapoor and Preity Zinta’s ex-boyfriend, Ness Wadia. Now, after many years, the actress broke the silence on two headline-making rumours related to her much-gossiped-love life.

Ameesha Patel revealed that Ness Wadia is her family friend

In a candid conversation with Filmy Mantra, Ameesha shuts down the dating buzz surrounding her and Ness Wadia, who once dated Bollywood actress, Preity Zinta. Ameesha revealed that Ness has been her family friend of three generations. The duo has also spent time together during their childhood days. Addressing her relationship with Ness, Ameesha said:

"Ness and I are family friends of three generations. His grandfather, my grandfather, our parents and now us—we all belong to the same South Bombay circle. These rumours probably came in because Ness is good-looking, eligible, and so am I. People just assumed we were a couple. This was way before Preity’s thing. We were just 15 or 16. There’s no truth to it. We’re still very good friends. In fact, Ness’s father is the reason I got into Cathedral School. Our families used to go on Christmas holidays together. There are even childhood pictures of us together.”

Ameesha Patel talked about her alleged relationship with Ranbir Kapoor

Ameesha talked about another headline-making rumour that she had been dating Ranbir. The actress shared there was a year when RK and Ameesha used to appear at social events together. Ameesha also revealed that she had some close connections with Ranbir’s family as well. Recalling the bond she used to share with Ranbir and his family, Ameesha said:

“There was a year when we were together at a lot of function —sometimes at Ranbir’s house, the RK bungalow, or watching the World Cup with mutual friends like Saif. There are many pictures from that time which went viral. Raj Kapoor gave kandha at my grandfather’s arthi. Rishi uncle, Babita ji, my parents—they were all friends during their dating phase. We’ve been connected to the Kapoor family for years.”

Ameesha Patel reacted to fans who wanted to see her getting married to Salman Khan

In January 2025, during an AMA session on Twitter, Ameesha’s fans urged her to marry the most eligible bachelor of Bollywood, Salman Khan. Reacting to the same, Ameesha said in an interview with Bollywood Bubble that fans wanted her to get along with Salman, marry him, and have beautiful, good-looking kids. The actress took the moment as mere humour and shared that it was like a 'wow' moment to her when fans wanted to see Salman and her together. Recalling a similar incident, Ameesha said:

“They wanted to see me and Hrithik come together post Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. And when he announced his marriaage, they were heartbroken. They were like, no this can’t happen.”
