Asif Khan rose to fame with his breakthrough roles in OTT projects like Mirzapur, Panchayat, Paatal Lok, Pagglalit, and Human. His dialogue, 'Gajjab Bezzati hai Yaar' in Panchayat became an instant hit, and it is still loved by many. However, his journey to carve a niche for himself in the acting world wasn't an easy one. Just like many others, who work hard to be on top. However, his struggle also made him attend Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's wedding as their kitchen help.
During an earlier interview with the Hindustan Times, Asif Khan shared his struggles to become an actor. He stated that sustaining himself in the city of dreams wasn't easy. His father had passed away, and he started doing small jobs to earn his livelihood. However, in 2010, he convinced his mother to allow him to pursue acting as a profession.

Sharing the story further, Asif recalled that he had worked as a waiter at a hotel. After a few months, when he was working in the kitchen department, the hotel had a party, which was of Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's wedding reception. Recalling the moment, he said:
"To sustain myself, I started working as a waiter at a hotel. After a few months, when I was working in the kitchen department, we had a party which was Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s reception."
Howver, Asif left the job and started working in a mall. It was during the same time that he started giving auditions and joined a theatre group in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Soon, he started working as a casting assistant, and started performing small roles in films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pari, Pagglait and many more.

Asif Khan's life improved with his breakthrough performance in the superhit series Jamtara. He then appeared in several other series, including Pataal Lok and Mirzapur. Regarding his upcoming projects, he will appear in Section 109, Kakuda, Noraani Chehra, Ishq Chakallas, and The Virgin Tree.
