Popular TV actress, Avneet Kaur and India's ace cricketer, Virat Kohli have been creating headlines for a while now. For the unversed, a few days ago, Avneet shared a picture in which she was seen wearing a green top and a wrap-around skirt in printed form. The photos that were re-shared by Avneet's fan pages saw Virat's like. The cricketer reportedly then removed the like and also clarified. Now, the actress, a while back on May 5, 2025, was seen in Mumbai and was asked about the issue, to which she gave a deaf ear.

Avneet was seen in the city a while back and was telling her papa supposedly, to take the car in the front. She had worn a white t-shirt and skirt and teamed up her look with headphones. She was seen entering her car, when she was asked by the paps to comment on Virat Kohli's incident. She was caught blushing and decided not to reply. Avneet looked shy, folded her hands and quietly went inside her car. Well, Virat has released a statement, but Avneet has not commented on the situation. It was a few days back when there were rumours also doing the rounds that she was dating Virat's teammate, Shubman Gill, as she was seen at a cricket stand cheering for him.

A user, after seeing the reaction of Avneet, wrote, "Virat liked her post omg ab kya hoga?" Another one wrote, "Jab main party ne hi decline kar diya to is madam se puch ke kya fayda bhai." A user also wrote, "Photos maito pyari nai lag rahe thi par real mai baat alag hai bro. Fukat ka fame mil gaya." Virat, in his clarification post, strictly wrote that he would like to clarify that while clearing his feed, it appeared the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was no intent behind it. He requested that no unnecessary assumptions be made and also thanked his fans for understanding.

An algorithm glitch, as mentioned by Virat Kohli, landed him in a big time soup as fans started devising all kinds of theories related to his like on Avneet's snap. There were rumours also doing the rounds that things were not fine in the lives of Anushka and Virat, and one of the reasons for Kohli to clarify was due to this reason. It is interesting to also note that Kohli's clarification message came a day after Anushka's birthday on May 1, 2025, where he had shared a sweet message for his wife. It read:

"To my best friend, my life partner, my safe space, my best half, my everything. You're the guiding light of all of our lives. We love you so much more every day. Happy birthday my love @anushkasharma."
