Ayesha Jhulka was every man’s crush in the 90s as the actress skipped everyone’s heartbeat with her innocence. Apart from working in regional cinema, Ayesha charmed the audience with some memorable performances in films like Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander, Khiladi, Masoom, and Kurbaan, among others.
However, when Ayesha was at the peak of her career, she decided to quit films. Her decision to quit the film industry broke her fans' hearts, and everyone thought why she was doing the same. The reason behind the same was that the actress was madly in love with actor, Armaan Kohli. Ayesha and Armaan co-starred in films like Kohra and Anaam.
Rumour mills had it that Ayesha and Armaan were not just dating but were also engaged. As the two were set to tie the knot, the actress stopped taking up further projects. However, despite being head-over-heels in love with one another, Ayesha and Armaan broke up. Ayesha made her comeback, and in the first interview after her breakup, the actress spoke about her disappearance from the limelight.
In an interview with Lehren, Ayesha spoke for the first time about being away from the limelight and shared how she was planning to get married and settle down. In her words:
“Maine filmein sign karna bandh kar diya tha kyuki main shaadi karne wali thi but there are no plans for marriage and I’m back here.”
Going further in the interview, when the actress was asked whom she was supposed to get married to, Ayesha shared, “Sabko pata hai kisse karne wali thi… Armaan se.” In the same interview, when the interviewer asked Ayesha the reason behind her breakup with Armaan, she didn’t budge any details and said:

“Kuch nahi hua, shaadi nahi kar rahi bas and I am working, mai kaam kar rahi hoon. There is no reason as such aur waise bhi main ahi chahti ki apni private life ko zyaada discuss karoon.”

The duo was very serious about each other and were set to get married. However, multiple reports at that time stated that before tying the knot with Ayesha, Armaan fell in love with someone else, and it shattered Ayesha. The two broke up, and before Ayesha could come to terms with her heartbreak, she already lost big projects. As a result, her career took a back seat, and she was no longer in the top actresses' league.

In her personal life, Ayesha Jhulka is happily married to business tycoon, Sameer Vashi since 2003. Incidentally, the duo does not have any child even after so many years of their marital bliss. In a throwback interview with The Indian Express, Ayesha talked about her conscious decision to not have children and said:
“I don't have kids as I didn't want them; I spend a lot of time and energy on my work and social causes. And I am glad that my decision went down well with the entire family.”
