Babil Khan is currently leading all the headlines after a video of him went viral on Reddit. The actor was seen in a disturbed state of mind and accused Bollywood of being fake. Not just this, Babil mentioned some of the renowned Bollywood people, including Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Arjun Kapoor for being rude during his outburst.
Soon, the video went viral and the actor’s team issued a clarification on the same and stated that Babil was just experiencing one of his difficult days, referring to his mental health struggles. However, Babil’s devastated condition stirred a controversy, leaving his fans concerned for the actor. Now amid the fiasco, Babil posted an emotional video of his late father, Irrfan Khan from the film, Madari.
The video featured Irrfan Khan waking up in a hospital, where the nurse tells him about his son’s ill health and the veteran actor bursts out into tears. The emotions shown by Irrfan in the video was similar to the one experienced by Babil in his recent video. It can also be ascertained that Babil missed his father, Irrfan’s presence in this difficult moment of his life.
On May 4, 2025, a video of Irrfan Khan’s son, Babil went viral, in which the actor looked visibly upset. He let his emotions out and was seen crying his heart out. Babil mentioned some of the renowned Bollywood people, including Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Arjun Kapoor. Not only this, but he also included Raghav Juyal, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and some more to acknowledge their work in cinema. But it was misinterpreted by the media. He was quoted as saying:
"What I mean to say is that, I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey and Arjun Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav and even… Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names. Bollywood is so ****ed. Bollywood is so, so rude."
As soon as the video went viral, Babil’s team issued an official clarification and stated that the video was shot during his ‘difficult day’, citing his mental health journey. Babil Khan's team added that the video was also taken out of context, and people misinterpreted the meaning behind it. They mentioned that rather than criticising, Babil was acknowledging the contribution of his peers like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh in the video. Consequently, they urged media organisations to understand the context of the case before picking up bits and pieces from it.
