Luckily, we have an answer now, and that is from her father, Boney Kapoor. In his recent interview, the renowned producer talked about his younger daughter's acting debut on the big-screen and surprisingly revealed that he'd not launch Khushi. Scroll down to know it all!
In an interview with the Bombay Times, veteran director and producer, Boney Kapoor talked about the much-asked question about his younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor's acting debut in Bollywood. The doting father revealed that his younger daughter is super-excited and madly-in-love with acting. He said, "Yes, Khushi is also keen on acting. You will hear an announcement soon." However, Boney Kapoor has clearly stated that he isn't going to launch Khushi through his own production house. But she'll be launched just like her sister, Janhvi Kapoor and step-brother, Arjun Kapoor by some other big production house. When the doting father was asked the reason behind his decision of not launching his daughter, Boney Kapoor clearly stated that he would become an indulgent father, if he'll launch Khushi. The producer said, "I have the resources, but I would rather have someone else launch her because I am her father and one tends to get indulgent. You can't afford to do that as a filmmaker and nor is it good for the actor."
Going further in his statement, Boney Kapoor also recalled the way he had launched his brother, Sanjay Kapoor and added, "Anil Kapoor was still an established actor, so it didn't affect him much, but I think I became an indulgent brother with Sanjay Kapoor when he made his entry into films." The doting brother also praised his brother, Sanjay, who is portraying some exciting characters on the OTT platform and has reignited his acting career. Citing the example of the same, Boney Kapoor said, "I think it may have gone against him. I am glad he is doing some amazing work in the OTT space now. He's playing interesting characters that he truly deserves to portray and can do justice to." (Don't Miss: Minissha Lamba Opens Up On Parting Ways With Husband, Ryan Tham)
Concluding his statement, Boney Kapoor stated that he wants his daughter, Khushi Kapoor to find her own space in the industry just like her chachu, Sanjay Kapoor and revealed that this is the best way she can make her entry in Bollywood. The filmmaker said that Khushi would be launched by a prominent and renowned filmmaker with whom he has some faith. He concluded, "Likewise, I would want Khushi to find her own footing. She will be launched by someone I respect and someone I feel secure and safe about" (Also Read: Twin Sisters Turned Brides On The Same Day And Wore Similar Outfits For Their 'Shaadi')
