To begin with, Bridgerton is an American historical fiction-romance television series created by Chris Van Dusen. It is based on the book series by Julia Quinn. It revolves around an eponymous fictional family that is set in the competitive world of the Regency era (1811 to 1820), London's ton (comprised of a few hundred wealthy families whose strict codes of conduct, fashion, and social customs dictated who and what was socially acceptable).
