Celebrity MasterChef: Farah Khan On Mangalorean MIL Never Feeding Her, 'Need Coconut In Everything'

Celebrity MasterChef India premiered on January 2025, and has been keeping the audience glued to their seats. The show is hosted by Farah Khan, while the judges are Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar. In the recent episode, Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal arrived on the show, on a mission to find the best catering partner for their wedding. Well, in the shaadi special episode of the show, the contestants were sharing anecdotes about their very own personal love stories. Moreover, it was Farah Khan, who talked about her mother-in-law's cooking habits.

Farah Khan complains about her mother-in-law not feeding her ever

During the episode, Rocky Jaiswal asked Farah Khan if her mother-in-law has ever cooked for her. To this, Farah said that her MIL has never fed her anything, and she only gets food for her son, Shirish Kunder. Farah then jokingly said that after watching the episode of Celebrity MasterChef, her mom-in-law would call her and say that she doesn't feed her as the former doesn't like her food. Farah Khan stated:

"Meri saas ne mujhe aaj tak kuch nahi khilaya hai. She gets food for her son. Now she will watch this episode and call me and say, ‘Tereko mera khana achha nahi lagta hai isiliye main nahi khilati.’"

Farah Khan reveals the reason her MIL doesn't feed her

Going forward, Farah Khan said that as her in-laws are Mangaloreans, their dishes mainly feature coconut in heavy amounts. She remarked that her in-laws like her chicken, and her MIL would get coconut-based chicken, idiyappams, and idly chutney, but it's not for her. When Rocky Jaiswal asked Farah if her MIL likes her food preparations, she said that she might like it as she cooks for them several dishes such as paya, and yakhini pulao.

Farah Khan reveals if her MIL likes her famous roasted chicken dish

Rocky further asked if Farah's mother-in-law likes her roasted chicken. Replying to this, Farah humorously said that she doesn't think that her famous roasted chicken is very much liked by her MIL since she is Mangalorean and needs coconut in everything. Following this, Rocky requested Farah's MIL to get her food. To this, she burst out into laughter and agreed.

When Farah Khan said she had only one mom left while she cooked Mangalorean fish curry for her 

For the unversed, Farah Khan lost her mom in July 2024. And it was after one month later when, she made a comeback on her YouTube cooking channel. In the first video, she was seen cooking with her mother-in-law. Well, she revealed that her MIL would cook Mangalorean fish curry for her. Moreover, it was Farah's banter with her MIL that left the internet users moved. After entering the house, Farah took blessings from her MIL by touching her feet, and the latter playfully took a jibe by saying that the filmmaker never does the same when the cameras are off. To this, Farah said that she had only one mom left, so she would have to touch her feet every time.
