Deepak Tijori is one of the most renowned actors in Bollywood, but his personal life has gone for a toss after reports of an ugly tiff between him and his wife flashed the headlines. The reports that surfaced in the media in 2017 alleged that Deepak was thrown out of his home in Goregaon by his wife, Shivani Tijori, as she suspected the actor of having an extramarital affair.
Shivani also filed for divorce and maintenance, and it was reported that she had let Deepak use only one room in their home. She also allegedly instructed the servants not to give him any food. It was also reported that Deepak moved to a friend’s place.
On one hand, Shivani filed for maintenance under 125 CRPC (Code of Criminal Procedure), and on the other hand, it was reported that Deepak had claimed that his marriage was not legal. The actor reportedly got to know that Shivani had not divorced her first husband, so she was not Deepak’s legal wife.

Though Shivani and Deepak did not speak about the same, it was the former’s sister and actress, Kunika Sadanand, who reacted to the news. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kunika had mentioned:
“Can a person be married for 26 years and realize that their marriage is null and void? I am sure someone is doing this mischief, we are not bothered by such stories because the court will take an opinion based on whatever is there in front of them. Obviously, someone is putting the story in the press so that the court gets prejudice because they are in court for divorce and their alimony settlement has to be done."
Deepak Tijori’s sister-in-law, Kunika, is a popular face in Bollywood and on television. In the same interaction with Pinkvilla, Kunika also revealed that Deepak was never thrown out of his house, rather he was living with his girlfriend. In her words:
“He is there only, he lives there partly, he has a girlfriend also, so he lives with the girlfriend also. He comes and goes in the house. How can she throw him out, he is the father of her child? He has his own room there and if he is thrown out, you think he doesn't have the key?”
Amid all the fiasco, Deepak Tijori’s wife, Shivani, broke her silence and stated that the actor had crossed all the limits of decency. Revealing how she could not get into details as the case was in sub-judice, Shivani shared:
“Deepak Tijori, my husband of 22-plus years and the father of our young daughter, has crossed all limits and has over-stepped the domains of decency, morality, sensitivity, sensibility and above all, the premises of every legality.”
