In the photo, we could see her baby girl's tiny feet as she was decked up in a red anarkali just like her mother, Deepika. Along with the picture, Deepika penned a note and revealed her daughter's name — Dua Padukone Singh.
While Deepika Padukone is a Konkani and Ranveer Singh is a Sindhi, they chose an Arabic name for their daughter. Dua is a word that originated from Arabic. Dua is a feminine name, and it means prayer. It has a beautiful religious context, as in Islam, it is an action of praying to God. Not only this, but Dua also has an origin in Albania, where it means 'love'. According to research on names, the name has a clam beauty and serendipity to it.
