Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher met in 2003 and got married in 2005 

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were linked together in 2003 after meeting through mutual friends. They made their relationship official and joked about their much-talked-about fifteen-year age difference on Saturday Night Live. For the unversed, Demi was 41 and a mother of three when she got in a relationship with Ashton, who was 28 years old at the time. After two years of dating, Demi and Ashton tied the knot in 2005 in an intimate wedding. This was Demi's third marriage, following her previous marriage to Bruce Willis and another lesser-known one when she was just eighteen. 

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher tried IVF, but the actress suffered a miscarriage 

Demi Moore had three daughters with her ex-husband, Bruce Willis. However, the actress and her then-husband, Ashton, hoped to have a baby of their own. As a result, Demi had tried in vitro fertilisation, and they had also looked at the option of adopting. The actress became pregnant soon after. However, Demi had a miscarriage at six months. The actress has often expressed how difficult this period of her life was. 

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher separated, and their divorce was finalised two years later 

Demi Moore released a statement in 2011 announcing her divorce from Ashton Kutcher. She said that as a mother and a wife, she holds certain values sacred and has decided to move on with her life. Following the separation, two years later, their split was finalised after Ashton filed for divorce. Soon after the divorce, Ashton married his long-time friend and actress, Mila Kunis. 

Demi Moore revealed the reason for her divorce from Ashton Kutcher in her memoir, Inside Out 

Demi Moore aired the dirty laundry of her and Ashton Kutcher's eight years of marriage. She revealed that in a bid to please her then-husband, she had agreed to open their marriage to other partners. However, Demi also stated that she would be overcome by 'shame' afterwards. The actress then said that after this, Ashton started cheating on her. Talking about her ex-husband's infidelity, Demi wrote:

"Because we had brought in a third party into our relationship, Ashton said, that blurred the lines and, to some extent, justified what he's done."

While filming a movie in 2011, Demi got to know about Ashton cheating on her for a second time with a younger woman, wrote the actress. And when she asked, Ashton admitted to it right away. The two separated soon after. Demi then revealed that after her third marriage failed, she fell into a period of deep confusion and felt lost. As a result, she started using substances. Demi, who had always been close to her daughters and her second husband, Bruce Willis, had distanced herself from them as well. After getting a seizure in 2012 due to the toxins she had inhaled, Demi chose to get a hold of herself after realising it was taking her family far away from her.
