Dhurandhar On OTT: Did 'Hamza' Kill Rehman Dakait's Son, Naeem, To Be In His Gang? Fans Are Divided

Ranveer Singh's movie, Dhurandhar surely left people screaming at the top of their lungs. The movie has grabbed the attention worldwide, and domestically, it already crossed the Rs. 1000 crore mark. With the excitement around this movie growing further and further, people were left thrilled when Netflix finally released the movie on its platform on January 30, 2026. 

While the movie was censored, and it became a reason for fans to hold back from praising it wholeheartedly, they still couldn't stop rewatching Aditya Dhar's blockbuster, featuring five top actors. Fans have been stuck to details, and one of them is now a question from the beginning of the movie. In the film, we could see that 'Hamza Ali Majari' had a mission to join 'Rehman Dakait's gang, and how he did it by trying to save both of his sons.

Was it 'Hamza Ali Majari' who killed 'Rehman Dakait's son, 'Naeem'?

Well, Ranveer was able to save only the younger one and the elder son, 'Naeem' was shot, as shown in the movie. In the post-credit scene, 'Hamza' was seen painting his white shirt with the blood of 'Naeem', and although it made people stop and go 'whoa!', they didn't pay much attention to it, unless they rewatched the movie again to find details.

Now that Dhurandhar is streaming, rewatching the scene made people wonder if it was actually 'Hamza' who killed 'Naeem' with the mission to enter 'Rehman Dakait's gang. Well, there's a heavy discussion going on on social media, with questions about whether 'Hamza' killed 'Naeem' or not. While some said 'Naeem' was killed by 'Hamza', others said that the latter could never take such a step, given that he has such a heart that he would never hurt a kid. Some other netizens countered that 'Hamza' could surely take such a step, given his past being revealed and the glimpses of it he has been getting. In the movie, we see 'Hamza' often having flashbacks to his possible wrongdoings in the past.

Several theories have been laid, and one of them had been that 'Hamza' could have planned to be the candidate for successor as the Sher-e-Baloch. The netizens said that it could happen as in the movie, 'Rehman's younger son was shown ill, and thus, killing his elder son, 'Naeem' could be a part of 'Hamza's plan. Who knows but the excitement has been peaked with the theories out there.

One user penned, "I was thinking this exact same thing too! I definitely think it was part of his plan to kill the elder son and save the young one. Because if the elder one was alive then he would’ve been the successor. With the younger one still young and they showed him being the weak one as he’s frequently ill, Hamza becomes the candidate for successor as the Sher-e-Baloch." Another user commented, "I think the latter. there were many people present i don't think Hamza would risk shooting Naeem. Besides Naeem was a young lad, if you look at Hamza’s reaction when he gets to know about ISI mixing poison in school water tells that he’s got humanity in him."

Dhurandhar Part 2 is going to reveal it all

To mention, everything about 'Hamza' will be revealed in Dhurandhar Part 2, which will be released in March 2026. The movie will be another blockbuster, it seems, and excitement is spiking among people about it. Dhurandhar Part 2 will bring 'Hamza' under the microscope and reveal everything about him, his past, the fragmented glimpses from his early life, and a mission against 'Bade Sahab', the next target after he killed 'Rehman Dakait'.
