Diane owned a sweet home in Los Angeles that she called her 'dream home.' However, in March 2025, she had put it on sale for a devastating reason.

Diane Keaton had always been fascinated by her house in Los Angeles, but in March 2025, her decision to sell came as a shock to many. Speaking to People, a friend of the Oscar-winning actress shared that her health was not okay in her final months. The friend mentioned that she was surrounded by only her closest family members.

The source expressed that Diane’s declining health was unexpected, especially because she is known for her strength and spirit. The source added that The Godfather actress' longtime friends were not fully aware of her health. According to a report by People, the declining health was the reason behind Diane putting her Los Angeles 'dream home' on sale. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom property was put on sale for USD 29 million.

Earlier, in a 2017 interview with Wine Spectator, Diane shared that she always had an interest in homes. However, the Oscar-winning actress had consistently struggled to stay as she found something wrong with every property. But after shifting to her new and final house in LA, she found peace. She also described the property as her 'dream home'. She was quoted as saying:

"Something's right, because I love it."

In her book, The House that Pinterest Built, Dianne highlighted The Three Little Pigs as her inspiration. In the book, Dianne mentioned a childhood moment, when her mom used to narrate the story of the three pigs, whose house couldn’t be destroyed as it was made of brick. That’s when little Dianne dreamed of living in a brick house.

She collaborated with a design team, using Pinterest to decorate every corner of her 'dream home', starting from the kitchen area to the wine storage.
