Actor-singer, Diljit Dosanjh has been receiving much love for his Dil-Luminati tour from fans all around the world. However, some concert-goers haven't had the best experience during his shows and have taken to social media to voice their frustrations. In particular, Diljit's fans were upset about the scams surrounding tickets being sold in black. Well, the Lemonade singer finally responded to the criticism during his concert in Indore. He later uploaded the video on Instagram as well.
Diljit Dosanjh recently graced Indore as part of his Dil-Luminati tour, during which he had a candid interaction with the audience. The singer finally addressed the criticism he had faced over his concert tickets being sold in black , questioning the audience about how it was his fault. In Diljit's words:
"For a long time, there has been a campaign going on against me in our country that, 'Diljit's ticket is being sold in black'. So, it is not my fault that the ticket is being sold in black? Right? If you buy a ticket for Rs. 10 and sell it for Rs. 100, then what is the fault of the artist?"
Diljit later uploaded the video of his response to his Instagram handle. He further continued saying that a 'sher' by Rahat Indori had come to his mind as he was in the lyricist's city. Dedicating the concert to the late poet, Diljit recited:
"Not in my presence, keep him somewhere else, you have brought him from the sky, keep him on the ground, now where will you go to find our murderer, you just put the blame of the murder on us."
Further, Diljit Dosanjh addressed the media directly, inviting them to blame them for as many things as they wanted. According to the singer, he wasn't worried about anything, nor did he have any fear of 'badnaami.' He further stated such underground tactics had been around forever, with the only difference being that singers were no longer in the background anymore. In Diljit's words:
"And has this started a bit from now? Since the time there has been cinema in India, 10 ka 20, 10 ka 20, since when has this been going on. Times have changed, in the films of earlier acts, the artists, singers used to sing behind the scenes and the actors used to move their faces. Now the singers have come forward, that's all that has happened. This is what has changed."
Further in the video, Diljit Dosanjh was seen giving Karan Aujla and AP Dhillon a shoutout as they embark on their respective tours. He wished them the best of luck while calling this period the era of independent artists. Diljit wished the two singers the best of luck, referring to them as his brothers. He further stated the era of independent artists had now begun. Diljit alluded to the possibility of future problems, as any 'revolution' brought challenges with it. However, he stated that the artists would keep working on their craft.

Diljit also had some encouraging words for all the independent artists out there as he motivated them to double their efforts. According to the singer, this is the era of Indian music. Diljit stated that earlier tickets would be sold in black when foreign artists visited the country, but now the same was happening for Indian singers. He ended his speech with the iconic line, 'Isi ko toh kehte hai vocal for local.'
On the work front, Diljit will perform in Chandigarh on December 14, 2024, following his Indore show. Then, the Indian leg of his Dil-Luminati tour will come to an end with a concert in Guwahati on December 29.
