Diljit Dosanjh, the beloved Punjabi singer, actor and international sensation, is not only winning millions of hearts with his soulful music but is officially exuding some royal vibes too! Recently, on his Paris tour, Diljit made a grand appearance at the iconic Cartier store that had once created the Royal Patiala Necklace, one of its most extravagant pieces.
Taking a brief detour from the DIL-LUMINATI tour, Diljit Dosanjh attended the event to showcase the opulent Patiala necklace. The iconic necklace was originally commissioned by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala and features 2,930 diamonds, including the 234.65-carat De Beers yellow diamond, and several Burmese rubies. Quite the statement piece!
The extravagant piece had mysteriously disappeared in the 1940s and was later rediscovered in a fragmented state, with many of its original gemstones and diamonds missing. Regardless, the neckless still holds its royal opulence after Cartier restored the lost gems. Today, it stands as a reminder of India’s royal past.
Diljit Dosanjh’s presence to show off this timeless piece only escalated the DIL-LUMINATI tour to a whole new level. His unmatched charisma, together with Cartier’s legendary craftsmanship, made Diljit the ‘Maharaja of the Year’, officially making him the modern-day king.
