Divyabharati On Dating Rumours With GV Prakash Kumar After His Divorce From Saindhavi, 'I Will..'

Media and fans are often not kind to celebrities who get divorced, and the people around them are dragged into the matter. A similar incident has occured in the Tamil film industry after popular actor, GV Prakash Kumar announced his decision to part ways with his ex-wife, Saindhavi. Netizens stunned over the ex-couple's separation made different speculations and dragged his former co-star, Divyabharati, into the matter. Consequently, the actress took to her Instagram handle a while ago and decided to address the matter in stern words. 

Divyabharathi refuses being in a relationship with GV Prakash Kumar 

The news about GV Prakash Kumar's divorce saddened their fans, and a section of netizens were quick to drag and blame Divyabharathi for being a third wheel between them. For those unaware, the actress worked with GV Prakash Kumar in the romantic drama, Bachelor, which became a major commercial success and a milestone in their career. The rumours went on, so Divyabharathi addressed them on her Instagram handle. Sharing a long note, she mentioned that she would never date any married man or anyone from the industry. Moreover, she had no connection with the actor's issues. She penned:

"My name has been dragged into a personal family matter that has absolutely nothing to do with me. I have no connection to GV's family issues. To be blunt, I would never date an actor, and certainly not a married man. I've remained silent until now, believing baseless rumours didn't warrant my attention. However, this has crossed a line."

The Cheran's Journey actress highlighted that she won't let anyone harm her image due to baseless blame. Referring to her strength, Divyabharathi asserted that this would be her last statement on the matter. It's not the first time she has addressed the matter. Previously, both GV Prakash and Divyabharathi clarified that the speculations are fake. But, they continued to go viral on social media. 

GV Prakash Kumar shared that he has not met Divyabharathi outside of work 

Previously, GV Prakash Kumar also addressed the matter in an interview with Galatta Tamil and shared that after working with her in Bachelor, people have begun to speculate that they both are dating. But, he stated that he had nothing to do with her and that they had only met at the shoot. Prakash mentioned that he had never met the actress outside of work, but the trolls presented a false narrative. Divyabharathi also said previously that she was wrongly blamed for the matter, but the actor advised her to ignore these rumours and focus on work.

GV Prakash, a music composer and actor, was childhood friends with Saindhavi, a playback singer. They tied the knot in 2013 and have a daughter. But, the duo decided to part ways in May 2024 and shared the news with the world. They revealed that tool the decision for their mental peace and well-being. Saindhavi shared that there was no external cause behind their separation and that they would continue to share a cordial bond. Moreover, the former couple continue to work together and were seen at a concert in Malaysia. They formally filed for mutual divorce at the Chennai Family Welfare Court in March 2025.
