Drake Made New Record On His 39th Birthday, Becoming The Most Diamond-Certified Artist In History

Drake, known for his dapper music and extensive style, has added a few more wings to his feathers— or, should we say, diamonds. The Canadian rapper and singer celebrated his 39th birthday on Friday, October 24, 2025, and received a massive gift from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), earning six new Diamond certifications.

Drake became the only artist to hold the most diamond certifications

A handful of diamonds is the perfect way to celebrate your birthday, and Drake has added six more to his legendary collection. In honor of his 39th birthday, the Canadian rapper received six new Diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Drake's albums, including Nice For What, The Motto, Passionfruit, Nonstop, and Headlines, have officially crossed the Diamond threshold, each selling over 10 million units in the United States. Not just that, his 2100 album Take Care also received a diamond certification from the RIAA.

Drake has now officially extended his number of diamond singles to 15 and his overall diamond records to 16. He now has his first diamond album under his belt. Drake’s previous diamond songs include Best I Ever Had, Hold On, We're Going Home, SICKO MODE with Travis Scott, Love Me with Lil Wayne and Future, Life Is Good with Future, God's Plan, Work with Rihanna, Hotline Bling, No Guidance with Chris Brown, and One Dance with Wizkid and Kyla.

Does Drake have any platinum albums?

As per the latest update of RIAA, Drake has also received several multi-Platinum boosts across both singles and albums. Drake’s 2011 album Thank Me Later topped the Billboard 200 and the Canadian Albums Chart, and later earned platinum certification from both the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA). For his album, Nothing Was the Same climbed to 7x Platinum, and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late earned 5x Platinum status. For All the Dogs is now 3x Platinum, with songs like Rich Baby Daddy, Slime You Out, Hours In Silence, and Virginia Beach receiving fresh multiple Platinum accolades.

Who has the most diamond records ever?

As of 2025, Drake has the most Diamond albums, with 16 certifications from the RIAA. Garth Brooks has the most Diamond albums among male artists, with 9. Among female artists, Shania Twain and Whitney Houston each have three Diamond-certified albums.
