Ekta Kapoor Opens Up About The Viral Ozempic Video, 'I Don't Know Where Ram Kapoor...'

Bade Achhe Lagte Hai star, Ram Kapoor has garnered a lot of limelight for various reasons this year in 2025. However, it was his drastic weight loss transformation that stole the spotlight. While many claimed that the actor has used weight loss medicines like Ozempic and Mounjaro, renowned TV producer, Ekta Kapoor too joined the crowd. Earlier this year, Ekta seemed to take a subtle dig at Ram for his transformation through a video. Now, she addressed the viral clip and clarified that Ram was never targeted.

Ekta Kapoor clarifies that the Ozempic video was not related to Ram Kapoor’s weight loss

Recently, Ekta attended the India Today Conclave Mumbai 2025 and clarified that her video on Ozempic was not related to Ram Kapoor’s weight loss. The TV producer revealed that she posted the video, a week before her serial, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4’s promo was launched. She also expressed that when people started assuming that she targeted TV actor, Ram Kapoor, who was part of the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Season 1, it was quite shocking. She was quoted as saying:

"This was exactly one week before I launched the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain promo, where the main character tries to fit into a medium. The promo was about body shaming, self-doubt, and self-assurance. Somehow, people took my post and spun it into something completely unrelated. I don’t know where Ram Kapoor came into this. He’s not a woman, not on TV right now, and he’s actually lost a lot of weight."

What did Ekta Kapoor say in the now viral video?

Earlier this year, the TV producer shared a video in which she talked about weight gain and what needs to be done to lose weight. She wrote in the caption, "Ozempic ho jaye." However, a particular line caught everyone’s attention, "Hum bade hi acche lagte hain", and people started claiming that it was nothing but a jibe at Ram Kapoor, who has lost weight and has undergone a drastic transformation. Sharing the video on social media, Ekta said:

"What do I do? I’ve gained a lot of weight. Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet? Mounjaro? Ozempic? All of the above? Zip my mouth? Ya chhod dun? Hum bade hi acche lagte hain."

Ram Kapoor's wife, Gautami Kapoor's witty response to Ekta Kapoor's video

Soon after Ekta’s video went viral, Ram Kapoor’s wife, Gautami Kapoor, made a video in which she gave a witty response to the video. Posting the video, she repeated the same questions that Ekta had asked about dieting and weight loss medications, such as Mounjaro and Ozempic. But then she added her own twist, saying, "For me, the gym is enough." This sarcastic reply clearly indicated that she defended her husband and came to his support. Gautami said:

"Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet? Should I take Mounjaro? Should I take Ozempic (pharmaceutical drugs), or all of the above? Or should I just zip my mouth? But I think mere liye gym hi kaafi hai."
