Farah Khan, in her latest YouTube vlog, took a dig at Deepika Padukone's 8-hour workday demand and said that because of the same, the actress doesn't have time to come to the former's show.

Deepika Padukone is a popular Bollywood actress, who is well-known for iconic films like Om Shaanti Om, Chennai Express, Piku, Tamasha and more. The actress has been making headlines for since she demanded an 8-hour work shift. Recently, choreographer, Farah Khan took a dig at Deepika's demand in one of her recent YouTube vlogs with actor, Rohit Saraf.

Recently, Farah Khan visited Rohit Saraf’s house in her recent YouTube vlog with cook, Dilip. During the fun and candid vlog, Farah welcomed Rohit's mother, who was appearing in front of the camera for the first time. The choreographer in her signature sense of humour compared the time it took for Rohit’s mother to say yes with Deepika’s rumored availability. She jokingly said:

"Haan itna time toh Deepika Padukone ne nahi lagaya mujhe haan bolne mein."

Hearing this, Farah Khan's cook, Dilip asked the former, "Deepika Padukone ma’am kab aayengi humare show main", to which Farah replied, "Jiss din tu gaon jaayega naa uss din aayegi." She then, took at a dig at Deepika and jokingly said:

"Deepika Padukone ab sirf 8 ghanta shoot karti hai, usko show pe aane ka time nahi hai."

Deepika Padukone’s 8-hour shift demand and exit from sequel of Kalki 2898 AD

In mid-2025, Deepika Padukone made headlines, when she demanded an 8-hour workday. Reportedly, she had requested an increase in her fees and reduction of working hours, which allegedly became the reason for her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, starring Prabhas. Later, several celebrities came in support of her and shared that since she is a new mother, her demands were justified.

Apart from this, recently, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD announced on their X handle that they have dropped Deepika Padukone from the sequel of the film, as they want someone who is dedicated and professional. Sources close to the production company had revealed that there were several other reasons for dropping her.
