Cricket is one of the most commercialised sports in the world, especially in South Asia. India and Pakistani are die-heart cricket lovers and leave no chance to indulge in the spirit of sportsmanship. Recently, Ramiz Raja, a former Pakistani cricket player, shared that the majority of cricketers' performance drops after marriage and shed light on the reason, too.
It has been noted that most cricketers' performance drops after marriage, for which their better halves are often slammed. Taking about the same, Ramiz Raja shared that it is not the wives to blame but the player's decisions. Many Pakistani cricketers have recently tied the knot. Subsequently, all of their performances have dropped, like that of Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imam ul Haq and Shan Masood.

Ramiz Raja recently appeared in a podcast about what he thinks is the reason why players' performance dropped after marriage. He revealed that travelling with wives and kids adds stress, which distracts the players. Also, at the end of the day, they need to take care of his wife and kids, and this adds to his mental and physical tasks. All these additional tasks outside cricket are distracting, adversely affecting their performance.

Ramiz Raja adds that players should extend their stay on locations and take a tour around the place rather than taking breaks mid-season. He explained that players step out of their hotels with their families during tournaments, which distracts them. Ramiz Raja added that this is the reason why he never travelled with his family during tournaments and matches.
