Los Angeles Dodgers star, Freddie Freeman has had a remarkable career. However, according to the athlete, he was able to focus on his career because of the source of strength and support behind the scenes, his wife and mother of their three children, Chelsea Freeman. The couple has been together for 14 years and has built a strong foundation that has withstood the test of time. From the very beginning, Chelsea has been the biggest cheerleader of Freddie.
Chelsea had always stood by Freedie as he navigated through his career as a professional baseball player and life beyond that. However, their journey hasn't been without challenges, from fertility struggles and the difficulty with the birth of their first son, Charlie, in 2016, the couple has overcome life's hurdles together. Nonetheless, she is not just a mom or a wife; Chelsea has also carved out her own successful path, balancing business ventures and family life with grace.
Freddie and Chelsea Freeman met for the first time when they were in college. Chelsea, born on April 24, 1991, in Florida, was attending the University of Central Florida, where she met the man who would become her ride or die. Freddie was already drafted by the Atlanta Braves out of high school in 2007 and was in the middle of building his professional career. However, despite the difference in their life stages, they quickly hit it off and never looked back.
Freddie and Chelsea Freeman got engaged in 2014, a year after the latter completed her graduation. Chelsea often shared how much she admires Freddie for becoming the 'best guy I could ever ask for'. Freddie's small gestures of affection, such as buying flowers and cards for her birthday, have not gone unnoticed, proving that life is about the small, meaningful moments.
Before tying the knot, Chelsea Freeman had a memorable moment on reality TV, appearing on Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta during the show's Season 8. The episode gave the fans a glimpse into her wedding dress shopping experience, making Freddie and Chelsea's big day feel even more special for them. The gorgeous bride chose two dresses for her wedding, a mermaid-style dress for the ceremony and a beaded V-neck dress with ostrich feathers for the reception.

Forgetting the old traditions, Freddie Freeman accompanied Chelsea and was visibly moved by how beautiful his bride looked in both dresses. The baseball player was heard calling it the moment that surpassed everything he had accomplished in life. They married on November 22, 2014, at the St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami Beach, Florida.
Freddie and Chelsea Freeman are parents to three gorgeous sons. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Frederick Charles Freeman II (known as Charlie), on September 15, 2016. The couple was later blessed with two more boys, Brandon John and Maximus Turner, born in December 2020 and February 2021, respectively. However, their journey to grow their family was anything but easy. After a challenging pregnancy with Charlie, Chelsea struggled with infertility, which emotionally drained her.
The couple's heartbreaking experience led them to work with a surrogate to bring Brandon and Maximus into the world. Chelsea became pregnant around the same time, which led to the boys arriving only months apart. The Freemans openly talked about their struggle with fertility, surrogacy, and the birth of their sons, giving many others struggling to build a family some hope, while also demonstrating the strength and resilience of their family.
Throughout Freddie Freeman's career, Chelsea Freeman has been an unwavering ray of hope and support to the baseball player. She is often seen attending numerous games, including the 2021 World Series, where she and Charlie joined Freddie on the field to celebrate the Atlanta Braves' victory. However, while many expected Freddie to retire with the Braves, he signed a six-year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2022, embarking on the next chapter of his life. Chelsea shared her pride in Freddie's resilience throughout the transition. While things around the couple continued to change, their love, respect, and support for each other remained constant.
Chelsea Freeman is not just a supportive wife or doting mother; she is also an entrepreneur. She started her career as a real estate agent with Keller Williams in 2013 and later pursued modelling during her college years. However, she finally found her calling and started the Chelsea Freeman Collection, an online boutique offering game day apparel for both Atlanta and Los Angeles fans. The store features T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats representing the two cities that have been integral to her family's journey.
Chelsea Freeman has also aced her red carpet game and is often seen alongside Freddie Freeman at major events. From the 2019 All-Star Game in Cleveland to the 2022 Baby2Baby Gala in Los Angeles, Chelsea is always impeccably dressed and never afraid to shine on the biggest stages. Most recently, the couple attended the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards in January 2024, where Chelsea wowed in a beaded Oscar de la Renta gown while Freddie looked sharp in a Tom Ford tuxedo.
