Tiger Woods has been grabbing a lot of attention since March 27, 2026, for all the wrong reasons. For those unaware, the golfer was involved in a car crash, leading to his DUI arrest on March 27, 2026. Amid this, Tiger Woods is all set to receive treatment outside Florida. A few days ago, Tiger took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared a note revealing that he had taken a break from his career and wants to focus on his health.
According to a report by TMZ Sports, early morning on April 3, 2026, Tiger Woods’ private jet landed in Zurich, Switzerland. Zurich is widely known for very high-end and private treatment centres, and thus TMZ suggested that Tiger might be considering Paracelsus Recovery and Kusnacht Practice. These two centres are best known for being extremely exclusive, private and, of course, expensive. However, BollywoodShaadis couldn’t independently confirm whether Tiger Woods was actually on the plane. The private jet stayed for a short time, around 10 hours.

On April 1, 2026, Tiger Woods took to his X handle and shared a note in which he mentioned his decision to step away from his career and focus on health. It was his first post after the DUI arrest related to the recent car crash. Tiger highlighted that the break was necessary for his well-being. He also asked for privacy at the moment. He wrote:
"I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritise my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I'm committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time -Tiger."

According to a recent report by TMZ, Tiger was approved to travel out of the US for his medical treatment. The golfer’s lawyer, Douglas Duncan, stated in his filing that Tiger needed full-time and serious care that would be better done outside the US. He mentioned that the main reason to travel out of the US for medical treatment is privacy. According to Douglas, Tiger’s condition is serious and constant public attention would disturb his treatment and slow down his recovery. An excerpt of Douglas’s filing can be read as:
"Based upon the Defendant's treating physician, the out-of-country treatment facility recommendation is based upon the Defendant's complex clinical presentation and the urgent need for a level of care that cannot safely or effectively be done within the United States, as his privacy has been repeatedly compromised. Exposure to the public would cause major rifts in his care and could even result in setbacks and an inability to fully engage in treatment."

Tiger Woods is a renowned golfer. Over the years, he has won 15 major championships. His major titles include five Masters, three US Opens, three British Opens and four PGA Championships. Coming to his personal life, Tiger is currently dating Vanessa Trump. Over the years, he has had a fair share of relationships, including Olympic ski champion, Lindsey Vonn. As of 2026, Tiger has a reported net worth of USD 1.5 billion.
