Babil Khan, the son of late actor, Irrfan Khan, is considered among the most promising young actors in Hindi cinema. His refreshingly honest voice, raw talent, and decision to experiment with his on-screen roles like his father have made him popular. The young actor, who stepped into the entertainment world with Qala, has recently got embroiled in new trouble after one of his deeply emotional videos surfaced on the internet. Babil also called out Bollywood and mentioned the names of a few actors, but later shared a statement to clarify that his remarks were misinterpreted and he recorded the video in one of his mentally tough days. Amid all this, several stars extended their support to Babil, including Harshvardhan Rane.
Harshvardhan Rane, known for his grounded personality, shared a note on his Instagram handle reacting to Babil Khan's viral video. He expressed his concern towards the young starkid and reminded him that since he is the son of a great actor, he should take care of himself to take his father's legacy forward. The Sanam Teri Kasam actor also advised Babil to avoid afterparties and events in the industry. Sharing his views, Harshvardhan penned:
"Dear Babil Khan, you're blessed with God-level genetics in acting—we need you to carry on the legacy! Please give your best to the craft and avoid the afterparties and events to steer clear of irritants."
Harshvardhan, who has often talked about his tough journey as an outsider in the Hindi film industry, shared his experience and mentioned that he has learnt it's significant to be firm on your choices in the industry. The actor recommended Babil stay away from alcohol and other similar substances. Sharing his good wishes, Harshvardhan wrote:
"People won't treat you badly if you don't allow them. You need to stand your ground. And also, please 'stay away from alcohol and any such stuff' because to stand tall, you will need strength. Please take care."
Among other celebrities who were named by Babil, Raghav, Siddhant, and Ananya came forward to express their solidarity with the actor. Raghav told the Times Of India that he contacted Babil's mother, who shared that Babil went through an anxiety attack and has been resting at his home. Later, the Kill actor shared an Instagram post to state that he stands by Babil. Similarly, Siddhant called out the media's approach to creating controversy on the matter and also shared a throwback memory with Babil. On the other hand, Ananya re-shared Babil's statement and penned:
"Only love and good energy for you Babil, always in your corner."
Babil Khan is the son of late actor, Irrfan Khan and his wife, Sutapa Sikdar. He pursued a bachelor of Arts Degree from London and worked as a camera intern for his father Irrfan's movie, Qarib Qarib Single in 2017. He made his debut with the film, Qala in 2022. Babil was also seen in films and TV shows, including The Railway Men and Friday Night Plan. He was last seen in the thriller-drama film, Logout, released on April 18, 2025.
