'Honey Boo Boo' Alana 'Banged Up' In A Tragic Car Crash, Mama June Says, 'Always Speeding On The..'

Alana Frances Thompson famously known as Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson, rose to fame with the TLC reality show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The TV saga featured the family of child beauty pageant contestant, Alana. However, they rose to fame with Toddlers & Tiaras. Nonetheless, as their fame grew, her family was given their own show. However, it wasn't her professional achievements she has recently gained attention for, but rather a tragic accident which has left her banged up.

Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson was injured in a car accident

It was on September 27, 2025, when Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson's mother, Mama June Shannon, revealed that the reality TV star was involved in a tragic car accident. She took to her social media handle and shared a post citing how Alana was injured as she was pulling out of her driveway in Denver. The doting mother shared that someone was not paying attention and speeding, resulting in the accident. She was quoted as saying:

"Somebody actually wasn't paying attention and T-boned her on her road. They are always speeding on the road."

The Toddlers & Tiaras mother, June Shannon, further said the driver of the other vehicle admitted he was "going 40 miles an hour and probably wasn't paying attention". However, she confirmed that her daughter, Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson, was fine. June shared that Alana was hit on the driver's side of the car, but it could have been worse. She was quoted as saying:

"But anyway, with that being said, Alana is fine. She was hit on the driver's side of her car. It could have been a lot worse."

In the same video post on social media, she shared that Alana was taken to the hospital after the accident, even though she was not seriously injured. Giving an update on Alana's condition, the reality TV fame mother added that the former is facing some issues with her back and has a headache. The doting mama revealed that Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson was banged by the entire incident but is doing fine and is now resting at her home. She was quoted as saying:

"She was taken to the hospital. She does have back pain, and she is having some headache issues, but we are headed to Denver to get her a rental car and to get her set. She is banged up a little bit, but other than that, she is OK."

Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Regis University in Colorado. Despite the accident, Mama June reported that Alana insisted on still attending her first day and planned to "get up in the morning and go". While shaken up, the reality TV darling doesn't plan on slowing down. However, it is worth noting that speeding was a factor in 29 per cent of all traffic fatalities in the US. In 2023, speeding was a contributing factor in 11,775 deaths and 10,541 fatal crashes.
