Lil Poppa, whose real name was Janarious Mykel Wheeler, passed away at the age of 25. His death was confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office in Georgia to TMZ. Over the past few years, Lil Poppa built a strong name for himself in the digital space. His famous tracks, including Eternal Living, Love & War, and Mind Over Matter, grabbed millions of views both on YouTube and Spotify.
Lil Poppa's demise has left his followers mourning. Well, with the rapper's passing at such a young age, people have been wondering what could be the cause of his death, given that no reason was revealed. While some wondered if Lil Poppa's demise was a suicidal attempt, others worried if there was any foul play. To mention, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. However, amid his demise, the rapper's battle with the condition of sickle cell anaemia grabbed the attention. For the unversed, Lil Poppa has been suffering from sickle cell anaemia, and reportedly, he opened up about the same in his documentary named, Blessed, I Guess.
As he passed away, his followers have been wondering whether this might have been the reason for his death at such a young age. Fans on social media are discussing that Lil Poppa reportedly was in pain due to such a health condition. One user said, 'Lil Poppa had Sickle Cell. He was Really Sick! If Yall Really Listen To His Music He Always Talked About It Omgggg I’m Mad asfff." Another user commented, "Damnnn lil poppa died wtf I know he had sickle cell that’s probably what k!ll3d him."
According to several online sources, sickle cell anaemia is an inherited blood disorder that turns red blood cells rigid and sticky. The shapes of the cells also go through changes and turns like crescent moons. The shape changes take place in those blood cells which carry oxygen to different body organs. Reportedly, such a condition causes immense pain to the victim and leads blood cells to die early, causing infection, organ failure, and clogging of small blood vessels. It's a lifelong condition and can be caused by a genetic mutation. This is inherited, which means the victim might have received the same from any of his/her parents.
