Isha Ambani, the young heiress of the Ambani clan, got married to the love of her life, Anand Piramal, back on December 12, 2018. The bond between these two powerful business families was cemented by Isha and Anand's union. Originally, the Ambanis and the Piramals have bonded for four decades now. Isha is the heiress of the Ambani clan and she has made herself stand out of the crowd with her thoughtful ideas in the business world. Apart from being a businesswoman, a fashionista, and a mom of twins, Isha is also a doting bahu of the Piramals.
Isha is not only the bahu of the Piramals, but she is also the daughter-in-law of a village, wherein the ancestral home of the Piramals is situated. Bagar is located in Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan. Today, we will have a look at the Piramal connection to this small yet significant town, and the Piramal Haveli, which is the perfect blend of Heritage and grandeur.
It was back in 1920, when Anand’s grandfather, Seth Piramal Chaturbhuj Makharia came to Bagar from Mumbai with only Rs. 50 with a dream to establish his family and to make it India's most influential business dynasty. In 1928, the Piramal Haveli was built. The Piramals maintain a close bond with this town, wherein they arrive regularly to pay honour to their roots, even though the family is well settled in Mumbai.
Seth Piramal Chaturbhuj Makharia's business ideas flourished in several fields and trade industries, such as cotton, opium, and silver. The success in these fields helped to flourish their business, and they invested the same in Bagar. Talking about Bagar's connection to Rajputs, the region is now known as Shekhawati, and it was said to have been ruled by the Shekhawati Rajputanas between the 15th and 18th centuries. Rao Shekha ruled this area, and after that, his descendants continued to rule over regions such as Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Churu, giving the town Bagar a history with Rajputs.
The family has been dedicated to the development of Bagar, and they even allocated 500 bighas of land in this town to schools, colleges, and hospitals. Talking about the Piramal Haveli, it was built by the family for residential purposes. Well, later, it was turned into a heritage hotel, which is now under the ownership of Piramals. It is open to the public to experience the historical opulence of this place.

When we come to its architecture, the building opens with a large greenish garden, featuring a courtyard with grand pillars, which also have some colourful frescos, made with a blend of modernism and traditional elements. This fresco screams the British influence of that time in Jaipur, and the depictions, including Gods in motor cars, flying angles, and airplanes, among others. Another grandeur, when we come to the architect of the Piramal haveli, is the huge gate, which was built by Anand Piramal's grandfather, Seth Piramal Chaturbhuj. This gate was built to welcome the Maharajas of Jaipur back then, who would often ride Elephants for travel.
Isha Ambani's marriage to Anand Piramal tied her with the Piramal family, and who have a deep-rooted connection and historical legacy in Bagar, thus, it makes the young heiress of the Ambani clan the bahu of this village. Well, the Piramal haveli in Bagar stands out as the symbol of the family's legacy, wealth, and influence in this area. Although, the family lives in Mumbai, they maintain a close bond with Bagar and continue to look after the town's development and progress.
What do you think about the town Bagar, which is connected to the Piramals and the Piramal haveli?
