Nayanthara is adored by her fans, who lovingly bestowed her with the title of 'Lady Superstar'. However, for some creative reasons, the actress renounced the moniker 'Lady Superstar' that was given to her. Soon after, YouTuber, Jammy Pants took to his Instagram handle and took a dig at the actress.
After Nayanthara renounced her title as 'Lady Superstar', YouTuber, Jammy Pants took to his Instagram handle on March 5, 2025. He shared a story, taking a dig at the actress. Without naming Nayanthara, he posted a note urging his fans not to refer to him as 'Maharaaj Anmol Jamwal of Jammu'. He further added that while he was grateful for such titles, he truly resonates with 'Jammy'. His hilarious post came hours after the actress shared her post on X. Jammy's post read:
"I would urge all my fans to not refer to me as 'Maharaaj Anmol Jamwal of Jammu' anymore! While I am grateful for such titles, it often takes away from the work I do as there are expectations & preconceived notions that come with my stardom and association with such a title! I truly resonate with 'Jammy': The regular chap providing you reviews on a weekly basis! I hope you address me the same way! Love you guys."
YouTuber Jammy Pant's post was soon shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, and netizens had mixed reactions to the same. Some found the post hilarious and commented, "I wonder what THE Vijay Devarakonda thinks of this.." Another user stated, "This is hilarious." A user stated, "It would be really hilarious if every celeb/influencer started putting such stories lmao." A Redditor's comment read, "Lol, this is good. Just the right response for such ridiculous statements."
On the other hand, netizens defended Nayanthara. A user penned, "Oh, that's totally unnecessary. Nayanthara had that title even before she got into Bollywood, even before all the documentary drama happened. You can't undermine her stardom down south." Another user penned, "I agree Nayantara did clownery in the name tag business and in this 'humble denouncement', but I don't think she deserves being trolled by this clown. This guy seems to be the brother of attention god Ranveer Singh. He must have seen the Tamil audience trolling her on social media and jumping into the topic. Anyway, the joke's still on Nayan. Getting trolled for denouncing imaginary things." A user in a long post wrote:
"Jammy should know that Kamal Haasan wrote something similar last year to what Nayanthara did now. And on the other hand Ram Charan asked ppl to declare of him global star. Allu too asked ppl and declared himself icon star. Ntr tried to pull man of mass title wirh Devara etc. Then there them wanting to call themselves as “MEGA” family and megastar. Yeah but sure..go after and mock the easy target heroine for saying she would NOT like to be labelled xyz for whatever reason..now. (Regardless of how her statement looks)."

For the unversed, it was on the night of March 4, 2025, when Nayanthara took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared the news. She shared how, while these honours are priceless, they can create an image that often separates her from her work, her craft and the unconditional bond she shared with her audience. She concluded the post by stating that it is cinema that has kept them united. Nayanthara shared the post with the caption, "NAYANTHARA will always be and only NAYANTHARA."
