EA's Board of Directors has approved the USD 55 billion deal, and it is expected to close in the first quarter of FY27. The day it is officially closed in FY27 will mark the end of EA's 36-year history as a publicly traded company. However, its headquarters will remain in California's Redwood City, and Andrew Wilson will continue to serve his role as the EA's CEO. Until FY27, EA customers should not be worried about any potential changes in the gameplay experience. As per the agreement, shareholders will receive USD 210 in cash as a share of EA's acquisition by the Consortium.
