Javed Sheikh is a Pakistani actor, film director, and producer, who predominantly works in Bollywood and Lollywood. Some of his Bollywood projects include, Om Shanti Om, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, and Namastey London, among others. In his personal life, he was married to Zinat Mangi, with whom he has two children, Momal Sheikh and Shahzad Sheikh. Javed later got married to actress, Salma Agha, and the marriage was also short-lived. It was in an old interview when Javed blamed it on Salma for losing on several important projects.
It was last year, when Javed Sheikh sat for an interview on a digital media channel, wherein he talked about the setbacks he faced in his professional life for being married to Salma Agha. Javed said that during the time, he was married to Salma, she would often ask him to go to India with her, thus, he would mostly be in India with her. He further stated that while the entire crew of the movie, Bangkok Ke Chor was waiting for him, he had to quit it as his then-wife, Salma felt that Pakistani movies are 'bakwas'. He said that it was Salma who made him quit the movie.
In the same interview, Javed Sheikh shared that he also had to leave a Hindi film featuring Rekha alongside him, and later, Kabir Bedi replaced him. He blamed it on Pak-Indian actor and singer, Salma Agha and said that while he was in India for the shoot of Khoon Bhari Maang, he had to be forcefully removed from the movie just like he was replaced in the movie, Bangkok Ke Chor by Izhar Qazi. He further stated that he was not greedy for the opportunities, and if it had been so, then he could have left Salma. Sharing that such a thought never crossed his mind, Javed said:
"I was in India doing Khoon Bhari Maang. I was selected as a hero. Rekha was the heroine. Similar to how [I was replaced] by Izhar Qazi in Bangkok Kay Chor I was forcefully stopped and removed, and Kabir Bedi stepped in. I was not greedy. Had I been greedy, I would have done that film and left Salma Agha. But there was no greed, nor was such a thought in my mind."
Yet, in another interview with Tribune, Javed Sheikh talked about how Salma reacted when Rakesh Roshan offered him a role in Khoon Bhari Maang. For the unversed, Javed and Salma's marriage lasted for three years before they called it quits, and they had no children. Well, talking about his lost opportunity and why exactly he backed out from Rekha-starrer Khoon Bhari Maang, Javed revealed that when he was in Bombay with Salma, Rakesh Roshan offered him the role.
Javed shared that everything was finalised but his then-wife, Salma was unhappy with it and had a strange reaction to the idea of him romancing Rekha in a Bollywood film. He shared that he had to back out as he feared that gossip soon would start that he was with Salma in India for roles in Indian movies. Javed said:

"I met Rakesh Roshan who offered me a lead role opposite Rekha in his film Khoon Bhari Mang. Everything was finalised but Salma was unhappy about me working in Rakesh’s film and romancing Rekha. Her strange reaction made me cancel the film contract and I thought this would also avoid any potential gossip stating that I was staying with her to find roles in Indian cinema. Our marriage then hit a rough patch and I had no reason to stay in Bombay anymore."
