Indira Bhaduri, Jaya Bachchan's mother and Amitabh Bachchan's mother-in-law was alleged to be dead in a number of reports online. Abhishek Bachchan reportedly hurried to Bhopal in response to this news. The report of her death, however, has been confirmed to be false by the Bachchan family.
The news of Indira Bhaduri’s death fortunately turned out to be yet another death hoax. The 94-year-old Indira’s health became the subject of concern as several sources circulated these fake allegations. Within a matter of hours, the commotion which emerged online found its way into the entertainment industry as well. The distressing news sparked widespread concerns among celebrities, fans and news portals. However, it turns out that these claims are not at all true and Indira Bhaduri is doing well. As the news started circulating all over news portals, a close source of the family promptly responded by clarifying that Jaya Bachchan’s mother was alive. The source said:

“The emotional toll on families during trying times is profound, and they should not have to contend with the added burden of false reports. We urge everyone to respect the privacy of the Bachchan family at this time and to seek information from reliable sources for future updates.”
India Bhaduri is currently admitted to a hospital in Bhopal as she recently sustained a spinal injury. Indira’s caretaker confirmed this news and stated that she is now eating and speaking normally. It is not clear whether Jaya Bachchan is with her in Bhopal, but Abhishek Bachchan reportedly skipped his family dinner with his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to visit his grandmother. Overall, the situation seems to be under control with no reason to worry.
Abhishek Bachchan’s team also released an official statement countering Indira Bhaduri's demise. The statement said:
"Recently, several media reports have claimed that Jaya Bachchan’s mother, Indira Bhaduri, has passed away, stating that her son Abhishek Bachchan rushed to Bhopal in response to this tragic news. However, these reports have been confirmed as false."
Abhishek Bachchan’s team further stated that the family has not experienced any loss recently, urging fans to remain supportive of the family and not believe updates unless they are from credible sources. It takes a toll on families and affects their emotional well-being. The statement wrote:
