Katrina Kaif Does 'Sasural Genda Phool' Song's Hook Step, Channels Her 'Desi' Dance Mode At An Event

Katrina Kaif is the perfect bahu of the Kaushal household. On December 9, 2021, she and Vicky married royally in Rajasthan's Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur. Apart from being saasu maa, Veena Kaushal and father-in-law, Sham Kaushal's favourite, Katrina knows how to ace her bahu skills. Now, a video has gone viral where Katrina could be seen slaying on the song, Sasural Genda Phool. Her dance moves are crisp to perfection.

Katrina Kaif performs hook step of Sasural Genda Phool song

Reportedly, Katrina had attended a wedding event, and she could be seen showcasing her desi side in the Delhi 6 song, Sasural Genda Phool. The adarsh bahu did the hookstep of the song with utmost grace, poise, with her expressions on point. She wore a blue hued sleeveless lehenga choli with nude makeup. Katrina danced to the folk song that showcased the importance of marriage and how the bride maintained relations with her in-laws. Her dance moves fit perfectly with the lyrics of the song, and her radiant smile and twirl oozed oomph.

Sasural Genda Phool is a famous folk song from Chattisgarh that became famous after it got used in Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor's film, Delhi 6. AR Rahman adapted the song. In the viral clip, Katrina slayed in a blue corset top that kept her tresses open with basic makeup. There were other women in the group who danced with her, and there were folks who hooted for the actress. As Katrina danced with the other women in the frame, it was not clear where exactly the clip was shot.

Katrina Kaif is enjoying her new life as a married lady

It looks like ever since Katrina married Vicky she has rooted in his tradition and culture. She celebrates all the Hindu festivals with her husband, Vicky and his family with a lot of enthusiasm. Her dance on Sasural Genda Phool is like an ode to herself being married. Katrina always takes care of her in-laws and is seen with them in all the family gatherings. Recently, she went to the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 with her maa-in-law, Veena. She spoke to ANI about her experience in the Maha Kumbh, which took place at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj. Narrating her experience, Katrina said:

"I am very fortunate that I could come here this time. I am really happy and grateful. I met Swami Chidanand Saraswati and took his blessings. I am just starting my experience here. I like the energy and the beauty and significance of everything. I am looking forward to spending the whole day here". 

Katrina also celebrated Karwa Chauth in 2024 with utmost devotion at her sasural. She and her family also celebrated Christmas with a lot of joy. On the work front, the actress was last seen in Merry Christmas with South star, Vijay Seuthupathi. She has not announced her next film, but her 2007 movie, Namastery London is up for a re-release on March 14, 2025.
