King Backs Jasleen Royal Amid Backlash For Her Coldplay Performance, 'Shut Their Mouths...'

Jasleen Royal is among the most popular singers in India known for writing and singing with multiple languages. She has sung some of the most popular songs in recent years, like Heeriye, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Love You Zindagi, and Ranjha. The singer recently made headlines by becoming the Indian artist to open the concert of British Band, Coldplay's concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. However, the reactions from the audience made the big moment turn sour for her.

King wants Jasleen Royal to 'come back stronger and shut (detractors) mouths'

Jasleen Royal received criticism from fans and industry insiders for her performance at Coldplay concert. But, in an interview with Bombay Times, songwriter and rapper, King shared his views on the issue. Although other artists in the music industry have maintained silence on the issue, King extended his support to Jasleen.

He explained that there is a heightened pressure associated with performing at big stages in the age of social media. The Maan Meri Jaan singer admitted that he doesn't know much about the issue with Jasleen, but he feels that social media has got a new target in her form. King also added when artists perform in front of a massive crowd, even the thought of a smallest negative comment can affect their performance. King said: 

"I don't know what happened to her. But people deserve second chances. I want her to come back stronger and shut their (detractors) mouths. Time will heal and retort. I do get that the audience has spent their hard earned money, but everyone needs to humble themselves."

Vishal Misha and Antara Mitra slammed Jasleen Royal for her performance at Coldplay concert

Previously, singer, Antara Mitra shared a story on her Instagram handle with Jasleen's photo from the concert and called her out for her performance at Coldplay concert in Mumbai with a note. For those unaware, apart from performing the opening act, Jasleen even sang with the band's lead singer, Chris Martin. Antara penned: 

"The brightest idea was this representation of Indian music scene for Coldplay. I am shamelessly calling this out! Because someone from the same field should! I have an iron gut, so I am doing it! Please, all you biggies out there, taking decisions of this level! My only request is, please put music on top and then your numbers game."

Before her, popular music composer, Vishal Dadlani also took to his Instagram handle and shared a cryptic note that many believed was directed to Jasleen. He didn't mention any name but noted that a 'basic-to-bad singer's performance has been embarrassing for the Country. Vishal continued: 

"I've just seen some clips, and my gosh… How embarrassing! For the Country, the artiste, the public, as well as "the scene."

Vishal later deleted his Instagram story and didn't clarify it further. On the other hand, Jasleen has maintained silence on the criticism but penned a special note for the Coldplay band after they left India to express her gratitude for them.
