Kumar Sanu's Ex-Wife Rita Bhattacharya Questions Kunickaa On Her Affair With Him, 'I Was Pregnant..'

Actress, Kunickaa Sadanand is one of the contestants on Bigg Boss 19 and ever since she has entered the reality show, she has been talking about her affair with Kumar Sanu. Recently, the actress spoke about Kumar Sanu ditching her for someone else; it came as a shock to many. Kunickaa also added that she has been grieving over it for 27 years.

In a recent conversation, Kumar Sanu’s ex-wife, Rita Bhattacharya, shares her bold take on Kunickaa’s statements and reveals that she did the same then; how could she blame the singer? In her words:

“When she (Kunickaa) spoke about Sanuji having an affair with someone else, she was also doing the same. When Sanu Ji (Kumar Sanu) was staying with her, they were having an affair, he was married to me, I was pregnant with my son.”

Rita Bhattacharya also questioned Kunickaa on how she could suppress her grief for 27 years when she has a 26-year-old son.  Elaborating on the same, she said:

“She is telling everyone she was suppressing her grief for 27 years, you have a 26-year-old son. Where did you get so much grief? We have never heard that you can have an affair with someone while they are married. You are a mother and I am not against her, but I am just telling you the truth. When you have a 26-year-old son, how are you suppressing the grief from 27 years? You can marry a 70-year-old woman and have a 26-year-old son? Not in my country.”

Kunickaa Sadanand’s affair with an already married singer, Kumar Sanu

Kumar Sanu was married to Rita Bhattacharya in the late 1980s; however, their relationship ended in 1994. However, while he was still married to Rita, Sanu entered into an extramarital affair with Kunickaa Sadanand. Sanu’s married life was going through a rough patch when he met Kunickaa. He found solace in her company and found peace. Soon they fell in love and she started travelling with him all over the world for his concerts.

In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Kunickaa revealed that Sanu was in a very disturbed state when she first met him. However, they developed feelings for each other, and she was like a wife to him. On the other hand, Rita, in an interview with Film Window, claimed that Kumar Sanu dragged her to court when she was pregnant, while he had an affair at that time. Rita also stated that her entire world came to a standstill, as just a year ago, he had thrown a party and openly accepted that she was the reason behind his success.
