Lebron 'Bronny' James Jr. was born on October 6, 2004, to LeBron when he was still trying to find his footing in the NBA. Savannah, who became pregnant with their first child while still in high school, had LeBron's complete support. The rising NBA star juggled both his budding career and impending fatherhood, acing in both these challenges. Now, Bronny has followed in his father's footsteps and was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as a player in 2024 at the age of 20. 

LeBron James has also been with the Lakers since 2018. As a result, the father and son made NBA history as the first-ever such duo to play the game at the same time and from the same team. Magic Johnson, the former NBA player, took to his X handle and shared:

"This is a historic moment because LeBron and Bronny are the first father-son duo to play in the NBA at the same time and on the same team."

LeBron James's second son, Bryce Maximus James, is also a rising basketball player 

LeBron James welcomed his second child with Savannah in 2007, three years after becoming a father for the first time. Bryce Maximus James was born on June 14, 2007, when LeBron had established his name in the world of basketball. Just like his elder brother, Bryce has also been showcasing considerable potential as a rising basketball player. In January 2025, LeBron's second son started playing for the University of Arizona. Hence, another NBA draft might be in the near future for the family. LeBron, Bronny and Bryce also featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated titled 'The Chosen Sons', paying homage to their father's iconic 2002 cover, calling him 'The Chosen One'.

LeBron James and Savannah tied the knot in 2013, and around a year later, they welcomed their daughter into the world. Zhuri Nova James was born on October 22, 2014, and she is the apple of the James family's eyes. She is also a fashionista who helped to launch Janie and Jack x Harlem's Fashion Row collection when she was just five years old. Zhuri is also a daddy's princess, with LeBron James sharing with Access Hollywood :

"My daughter is the greatest thing in my life, along with my boys. So, whenever she smiles, it don't matter what I'm doing, it makes me happy."

LeBron James' tumultuous childhood while growing up with a struggling family and an absent father 

LeBron's mother, Gloria Marie, had him while she was just sixteen years old. Meanwhile, his father, who had a criminal record, remained absent throughout most of his life. As his mother struggled to find a job and they were forced to live in dangerous neighbourhoods, she made a sacrifice for her son's sake. LeBron was sent to live with the family of a youth football club coach, who introduced him to the game of basketball. Although LeBron himself did not have a stable father figure while growing up, he ensured that his children would lack for nothing in life. Especially, his unwavering love and support. He once said to ESPN: 

"For someone who didn't have that growing up, to be able to have that influence on your kids and have influence on your son, be able to have moments with your son, and ultimately to be able to work with your son, I think that's one of the greatest things that a father can ever hope for or wish for."
