Mahhi Vij And Jay Bhanushali Are Really Getting Divorced? Actress Clarifies, 'He's My Family And..'

Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have been hitting the headlines for a while now. The couple's divorce buzz started a few months ago, after netizens noticed the duo had refrained from posting any photos on social media. Several reports then suggested the couple had opted for divorce, even without any confirmation. Mahhi and Jay married in 2010, and they have two kids. Their biological daughter, Tara, was born in 2019. Well, Mahhi recently addressed the buzz about her divorce from Jay Bhanushali, discussing its effect on her.

Mahhi Vij recently shared a video on her YouTube channel, in which she addressed the ongoing divorce buzz surrounding her and Jay Bhanushali. She asked people not to believe anything they read on social media until she comes forward to say it, while asking them to respect her privacy. While Mahhi didn't directly comment on the divorce buzz or confirm whether the speculations were true, she said that Jay is her family and that he will always be her family. Mahhi further stated that Jay is a wonderful father and an amazing human being. Mahhi, in the video, said:

"Please don’t believe any news till I say it myself. Respect our privacy and our children’s privacy. Jay is my family and will always be my family. He’s a wonderful father and a wonderful human being."

A few days ago, Mahhi Vij took to social media and commented on a post that reported speculation about her and Jay Bhanushali's divorce. She mentioned that she would take legal action against such posts, which, without any confirmation from them, were spreading false rumours about her and her husband's lives.

Well, in the recent video, Mahhi said that people don't have the right to interfere in her or Jay's personal life, while sharing that the speculations actually led to a mental strain. She also mentioned how their son showed her a post about the same speculation, and thus, the actress asked people to understand what a child must be feeling. She added how such false narratives take a toll on their children's mental health, especially as everyone nowadays has a phone. Mahhi can be quoted as saying:

"Until we are not saying anything, you do not have the right to interfere in our personal life. My son showed me a news report of this. Imagine what’s going through them. Nowadays, every child has a phone. It hampers their mental health. You just print for likes and comments. Don’t put false narratives."

A source revealed to Hindustan Times that Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali separated a long time ago, and it was only a few months back that they filed for divorce with signed documents. Jay and Mahhi didn't confirm the speculations back then. It was only four months back, when talking to Hauterrfly, Mahhi Vij said that she wouldn't like to share her personal information because whoever questioned had no right to do so, given the fact that they are not her relatives.

Mahhi further took a jibe and asked if they would pay for her lawyer, who asked questions about her personal life. Mahhi Vij said she feels people just wait for something ugly to happen so they can enjoy watching public drama. She also expressed her disappointment with people's judgments, revealing how often they judge her as the decent one and Jay as not the same, or vice versa.
