When we hear that a celebrity couple is undergoing trial separation, we are filled with little hope in our hearts that the good news of a possible reconciliation will soon come our way. And looks like ace celebrity fashion designer, Masaba Gupta has finally come to a conclusion after 7 months of being in a trial separation. It was on August 2018, that we shared the sad news with you that Masaba Gupta and her hubby, co-owner of once production house, Phantom Films, Madhu Mantena’s marriage has hit rock bottom. In an official statement to fans and media, Masaba shocked everyone when she posted a note on her Instagram profile, sharing the news to the world. The emotional note that Masaba wrote depicted the hardship that she and Madhu were going through. While we will share the note with you below, here’s to let you know that both Masaba and Madhu have come to a conclusion pertaining to their marriage.

Sadly, Masaba Gupta and her now estranged hubby, Madhu Mantena have now decided to end their marital bond and opt for a divorce. The former couple has released an official statement pertaining to the same, which could be read as, “After much thought and consideration, we have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. We have decided to move forward separately and get divorced. We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own choices. We would appreciate if we are given our privacy in this time."
Coming back to the note about their trial separation, Masaba Gupta shared in her Instagram handle, "To, our family, friends, acquaintances, With a lot of sadness, Madhu & I have decided today to go on a trial separation in our marriage. Both of us have taken this decision after consulting professionals and our parents. The only thing we are ready to say right now is, 'what we both want out of life individually and separately is putting unnecessary pressure on the marriage and the love that we share. Hence, we would take time off from each other and our marriage to figure out for ourselves what we want out of this life." The note also said that the time is tough for the couple and they would really like to protect their privacy at this point in time. However, the good part is that Masaba and Madhu "still hope to find reconciliation." The note continued, “We are not strong enough to explain ourselves to even friends who deserve an answer from us.... All we can say to them is to give us time and to give us love when we reach out to you. We now need a lot of it”. And concluded with, “While we know, given the world and the lives we live in will lead to speculation, rumours and dragging us down into the dirt at this time. We are communicating and encouraging each other to be brave and reminding ourselves the only priority at this time is the well-being and protection of our own selves and our families. Soon after Madhu Mantena and Masaba Gupta’s separation news spread like wildfire, the former received a message from a journalist which hinted at a possible infidelity issue behind their trial separation. The message could be read as “Dear Madhu, sorry to bother. Sir we hear that infidelity was the reason why you and Masaba went for trial separation, apparently she discovered you had cheated on her. Can you please revert? Request and regards”. Masaba immediately took to Twitter and posted the screenshot of the message and gave it back to the journalist by defending Madhu and saying, “Going to address this because of the infidelity bit attached. Or maybe I will address more as it comes, given that I won’t tolerate a single thing being said about Madhu’s character. Not true.”
Masaba Gupta and Madhu Mantena had gotten married in 2015. Once speaking about their relationship in a throwback interview, Madhu credited his friends for his and Masaba’s togetherness. He had then shared, “Masaba and I have loads of friends in the film industry. They couldn’t share our joy in June when we made our togetherness official."
There was a time when the co-founder of Phantom Films had shared that his love for Masaba was such that he could marry her end number of times! He had stated, “I can marry her any number of times” and further added, “She has brought stability into my life. The quality that I like best about Masaba is her straightforwardness. She is blunt and forthright. But unlike other blunt people, she isn’t rude or insensitive. She is very kind and compassionate. She understands me instinctively and accepts me with my weaknesses."
