Pony Verma, born Rashmi Verma, is a professional Indian dance choreographer who started her career in 2000. Born on September 15, 1977, Pony has been a part of several film projects, including Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar, Garam Masala, Chup Chup Ke, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and the dance reality show, Chak Dhoom Dhoom, among several others. While little is known about the choreographer's personal life, she has an extensive filmography, with her most recent project as a choreographer being Deepika Padukone's Kalki 2898 AD, and her upcoming project being Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar.

How did Prakash Raj meet Pony Verma?

Prakash Raj was going through a divorce with his first wife, Lalitha, when he met Pony Verma at the set. While his personal life was scattered, it was Pony's energy and high spirit that attracted Prakash towards her. Prakash finally felt that his dull life had some colour. However, there were some hurdles in their way as Pony was 12 years younger than Paraksh.

Nonetheless, that was not the only issue. When Pony and Prakash decided to tie the knot, the actor had reservations. Not only was he married before and had kids, but Pony's first marriage was to him. So, he spoke to his mother and daughters about what he planned to do. During an interview, Prakash Raj recalled the conversation he had with his family and stated:

"During the period that we were separated and had applied for a divorce, I met Pony, who was choreographing for one of my films. I spoke to my mother and my daughters and said, 'This is what I want to do, but I want Pony to spend time with my daughters.' I knew it was her first marriage, though I came with baggage. She also met Lata and my daughters, who said, 'Cool dad, please go ahead.'"

After much consideration, Prakash Raj and Pony Verma tied the knot on August 24, 2010. The couple chose to keep their wedding a tightly knit event with just their close friends and family in attendance. Despite their age gap, the duo has built a happy home for themselves, and Prakash has often shared how lucky he feels to have found Pony. In an old interview, he said:

"I love her energy. I got married to her at 45. Probably, I would have become a little serious in life. But she brought romance and music in my life. It's great to have a beautiful young woman next to you when you go out and can escape for a holiday. Suddenly, you feel younger and there is so much joy in my life."
